do this all the time. An excellent example is how suckerberg's facebook
adn linkedin use hacking techniques, like the friend finders on facebook
and linkedin, to go into people's e-mail accounts and obtain e-mail
addresses, something newscorp's myspace has not done. It will be

The phone hacking scandal that has claimed the jobs of Britain's two
most high-profile police officers, caused the closure of one of the
country's most famous newspapers, prompted 10 arrests so far and led to
calls for the resignation of the Prime Minister reaches a critical
juncture today with a moment of high drama to rival anything that the
British media has produced before, either in real life or fiction.
The founder and the appointed heir to the world's most famous media
empire will take centre stage in the next act of the hacking saga.
Rupert and James Murdoch will sit before a panel of MPs and face
questions that the company over which they preside was involved in phone
hacking on an "industrial scale", made illegal payments to police
officers and sought to corrupt the democratic process by "owning"
politicians. In their answers, for which they have been carefully
drilled by a team of lawyers and media trainers, the pair will attempt
to rescue a tarnished reputation and distance themselves from serious
criminality.
They will do so under intense pressure from their own shareholders, who
have seen the value of their stock fall by almost a fifth – 17.9 per
cent – since it emerged that the murdered schoolgirl Millie Dowler had
been among victims of the company's journalists. The answers of the
Murdochs will also be analysed by a number of investigating bodies,
including the media regulator Ofcom which is gathering evidence on
whether News Corp is "fit and proper" to own a broadcasting licence in
the UK, and the Serious Fraud Office.
The pair's evidence will be followed by that of Rebekah Brooks, who
resigned her post as their chief executive at News International last
week, before being arrested on Sunday by police investigating the
hacking and illicit payments made to officers. Yesterday Brooks fought
back. Her lawyer, Stephen Parkinson, hinted that his client would take
steps to redress damage to her reputation. "Despite arresting her
yesterday and conducting an interview process lasting nine hours, [the
Metropolitan Police] put no allegations to her and showed her no
documents connecting her with any crime. They will in due course have to
give an account of their actions and in particular their decision to
arrest her with the enormous reputational damage that this has
involved."
For James Murdoch the appearance before MPs will be a screen test like
no other. As he prepared to take his seat in front of the House of
Commons Culture, Media & Sport committee today, he was facing criticism
from those who doubt that he possesses the abilities to run the News
Corp empire founded by his father.
The pressure on him intensified yesterday with a growing clamour for him
to relinquish his role as chairman of BSkyB, the satellite broadcaster
which he helped to build into a successful business. BSkyB's
non-executive directors were reported to be unconvinced that Murdoch can
cope with the job when he is caught up in the phone hacking affair, and
that they would watch his performance today ahead of discussions later
this week.
That view was echoed by the satellite broadcaster's first chairman,
Andrew Neil, a former editor of the Murdoch-owned Sunday Times.
"Non-Murdoch shareholders in BSkyB [are] indicating James's future as
Chairman [is] likely determined by his Commons performance," he said
last night.
Yesterday the Liberal Democrats asked Ofcom to act now on whether News
Corp should be allowed to have even the 39 per cent stake in BSkyB that
it possesses. Don Foster, the party's media spokesman, said James should
follow the example of senior police officers and his colleague Rebekah
Brooks and resign, even if he was not admitting wrong doing. "I think
his position is untenable," he said. A poll for ITV News last night
showed that two-thirds of the public thought James should quit.

He emerges as an honourable tycoon who was kept in the dark about the
scale of the scandal. He demonstrates that he had no knowledge of the
out-of-court settlements to Gordon Taylor and Max Clifford in 2008; that

police; and that he does not exercise undue influence in the police,
media and government. He apologises.
And defeat?
He admits he had knowledge of widespread phone hacking prior to January
2011. Yet it becomes apparent that he failed to take charge of the
crisis and ensure News International co-operated fully with police. He
comes across as arrogant or mendacious and/or appears to be vague or
doddery, casting questions over his ability run a global multimedia
giant in the digital age.
And a score draw?
He avoids implicating himself in any direct knowledge of phone hacking
prior to January 2011 but seems out of touch and acknowledges that he
has made mistakes in handling the affair.

MPs are impressed by his grasp of detail and candour. He demonstrates
that he was badly advised by lawyers and executives over the 2008
settlements to Taylor and Clifford by naming the executives and

shows remorse for the scale of wrongdoing at News International.
And defeat?
He comes across as a management-speak dalek devoid of empathy. He admits
that he knew wrongdoing extended to beyond a single reporter but yet
failed to inform the Metropolitan Police. He puts up spurious legal
arguments for not giving straight answers to straight questions. He
shows his temper.
And a score draw?
He agrees that he was not in complete control of News International but
comes across as a decent individual who has been shocked by what has
happened.

She persuades the committee that she had no role in any wrongdoing and
that the fault lies with other executives. She proves that she was on
holiday when a private investigator working for the News of the World
hacked into the mobile phone of Milly Dowler while she edited the paper.
She comes across as decent, vulnerable and hurt by the damage to her
reputation. A victim not a perpetrator.
And defeat?
She is defiant, haughty or arrogant and refuses to give straight
answers. Fails to explain how she could not have known about phone
hacking and payments to police officers on her watch, nor the
out-of-court settlements to Gordon Taylor and Max Clifford. Trapped by a
skilled inquisition.
And a score draw?
She agrees she failed to grasp the seriousness of wrongdoing at the News
of the World, but is able to show that she personally had no role in any
wrongdoing.

Good riddance dean donutfucker
This news is long overdue. During his entire tenure as pig chief in
providence dean has been the one who had singled me out for legal
harassment, be it direct or proxy, during his entire tenure as chief,
and if one still doubts this check my BCI and you will notice my entire
legal troubles occurred during his tenure as chief, all because my
stepfamily in Greenwich and fairfield county accepted bribes from him
and his coworkers when he was Stamford pig chief. Though others
suffered worse has he gutted the Providence police, like he did the
Stamford police, be it homeless people arrested for disorderly conduct,
people having medical problems on the street being charged with failure
to move, women asking men out on a date being arrested for prostitution,
etc. I had to bear the brunt of it. Interestingly enough nobody
mentions how dean let that same daughter drink cocktails at the Biltmore
on November 2, 2010 which I witnessed, and yet nobody said anything
there, yet they made a big deal over this party. The timing of this
could not be better, notice the date of the resignation, the 7 year
anniversary of my first victory as a Pro se Litigant, and the date of
the party, the 10 year anniversary of Leila's murder, and it is good to
see dean get a taste of his own medicine. I even wonder if the sheeple
noticed the headline on yesterday's paper below this headline, how
chafee appointed someone who runs a kids gulag in glocester to be the
new dcyf director. All the same this is long overdue and occured
because of sheep in the public who allowed it to happen and only ended
because of those who never quit.

police department, Police Chief Dean M. Esserman suddenly announced
Wednesday that he was resigning.
The decision was his, Esserman said in a hastily arranged news
conference at the Providence Public Safety Complex. A controversy over
underage drinking at a party celebrating his daughter’s graduation from
La Salle Academy had become a “distraction,” he said.
“I love this Police Department. I’ve come to love this city. And I also love my family,” Esserman said. “… But this has become a distraction, a distraction in my home, a distraction for me, and a distraction for this Police Department.”
Public Safety Commissioner Steven M. Pare said that he hadn’t asked for
Esserman’s resignation, nor did he find anything in his evaluation of
the party that would cause the chief’s dismissal. Pare said no rules or
laws were broken.
“He’s a great leader,” Pare said. “We’ll move on. This agency is bigger than any individual.”
Esserman’s decision surprised many officers. He had survived a
no-confidence vote from the police union, criticism over his abrasive
leadership style and attacks on his salary and benefits. Three of last
year’s four mayoral candidates said that they would fire him.
Taveras was the only one who withheld judgment. After evaluating the
department this spring, the mayor decided to keep Esserman, crediting
him with improving the department, rooting out political interference
and establishing a community-based approach to policing. But unlike
former Mayor David N. Cicilline, Taveras didn’t offer him a contract.
Esserman said he’ll stay until June 30. It’s also the last day for 75
officers who received layoff notices. All are facing losing their jobs
in the city’s financial crisis, unless the city and police union can
reach $6 million in concessions.
Esserman didn’t mention the layoffs as a factor in his decision to
leave. It was personal. It was about his family. And, he said, it was
time.
“I’m proud of the work we’ve done,” he said. “We’ve come a long way in eight years. It’s time for somebody else.”
Cicilline appointed Esserman in January 2003. The ex-prosecutor and
former police chief in Connecticut and New York walked into a department
in turmoil.
The department had been rocked by revelations in the federal corruption
trial of then-Mayor Vincent A. Cianci Jr. that a former police chief had
helped some officers cheat on their promotions.

There was scandal and division among officers and mistrust from the
community. Complaints of brutality, civil-rights violations and
allegations of misuse of federal funds drew the attention of the U.S.
Department of Justice. And the department closed itself off from working
with other agencies and organizations.
In eight years, Esserman brought community policing to every
neighborhood, assigned detectives to investigate the cheating scandal,
beefed up units investigating gangs, guns and internal affairs. He
introduced computer mapping of crimes, so the police could evaluate what
was happening in the city and prevent crimes, and opened the department
up to partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, organizations
and schools.
The crime rate began to fall, longstanding drug markets vanished, and
even murders plummeted. The department drew national attention for its
crime-prevention initiatives and community-centered approach. Last fall,
the department and Roger Williams University won a federal grant to
establish the first educational institute for law enforcement in New
England.
But the department also endured scandal — four officers were caught up
in a state police investigation into a drug ring last year, a detective
was convicted of assaulting a handcuffed man this year.
And Esserman’s temper and brusque style blistered colleagues and
underlings, and alienated some city leaders. Some were celebratory when
they learned of his resignation. Others were stunned.
In Upper South Providence, the director of the Davey Lopes Recreation
Center said he was disappointed. “Dean Esserman has been very good for
Providence,” said George Lindsey, “and I don’t care what anyone says, at
the end of the day, if you live in the city, you recognize the
difference from before Esserman came and now.”
In Washington, D.C., Chuck Wexler, executive director of the Police
Executive Research Forum, said the chief’s work gave Providence national
recognition.
“The Providence Police Department is a different place today than it was 8½ years ago,” said Wexler. “He came in at a time of turmoil, accusations and questions … and 8½ years later, the Providence Police Department is a better place, and the community is a safer place.”
As for the recent controversy, Wexler said, “When you’re a change agent,
you’re under attack all the time. Your whole life becomes an open book.”
When Taveras became mayor, Esserman’s contract expired and his future
was uncertain.
In February, he was suspended for one day without pay after an incident
involving a sergeant who was having a coughing fit while Esserman was
addressing officers at a training session. Witnesses said Esserman
cursed and threatened to throw a cup of coffee in the sergeant’s face.
This month, as the city began handing layoff notices to 75 new officers,
Councilman Michael J. Correia asked Esserman in a letter to “be a man of
his word” and resign. The letter said that Esserman had announced on two
occasions that he would volunteer to leave before pink slips were given
to any of his officers.
Then came the graduation party June 10 at his East Side home.
Esserman said that he and his 27-year-old son were chaperoning the party
when young people started suddenly arriving late. He said he discovered
some of them drinking alcohol, and he and his son ordered everyone to
leave. Some ran off with alcohol.
Esserman said he called Pare that night to tell him what happened.
Some criticized his handling of the party, including the head of the
Rhode Island chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, who asserted that
he should have called the police to disperse the crowd. Pare said he
would evaluate the incident.
Pare said Wednesday that he hadn’t finished his evaluation when Esserman
handed him his resignation.
“I’m sure a lot of things played in his mind about why he should resign,” Pare said. “There are a lot of things happening in the Providence Police Department.”
Esserman said he was taking responsibility for what happened at his

Iran has arrested 30 people it says were engaged in a "complex espionage
and sabotage network" run by the United States, state media reported.
The network of alleged spies was controlled by the Central Intelligence
Agency through US embassies in the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and
Malaysia, according to an intelligence ministry statement posted on the

The spy network worked under the cover of labour recruitment agencies,
the statement posted on Mehr's website said.
"The elites, educated and naive people were recruited to get visas,
residency permits, education abroad and employment," it said.
Spying in Iran can carry the death penalty. Washington has had no
diplomatic presence in Iran since the 1979 revolution which deposed the
US-backed shah and was followed by the lengthy occupation of the US
embassy.
Diplomatic cables published by the WikiLeaks website showed the US
operated information-gathering desks on Iran in neighbouring countries
where diplomats would seek to glean intelligence from travelling
Iranians.
The announcement of the arrests comes two days after Barack Obama, the
US president, made a speech on the Middle East, reiterating Washington's
view that Tehran sponsors terrorism and is seeking nuclear weapons,

Israel is prepared to make "generous" concessions for peace in the
Middle East, but cannot go back to the country's "indefensible" 1967
borders, Israeli prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu said after White
House talks with Barack Obama.
Netanyahu's comments came after Obama, the US president, had said the
1967 borders, with mutually agreed land swaps, should form the basis for
a peace deal between Israel and the Palestinians, in a major speech on
the Middle East on Thursday.
"A peace based on illusions will crash upon the rocks of Middle Eastern
reality... I think for peace the Palestinians will have to accept some
basic realities," Netanyahu said.
He said that a return to those borders was impossible because the region
had seen "demographic changes".
"While Israel is prepared to make generous compromises for peace, it
cannot go back to the 1967 borders because these borders are
indefensible."
A spokesman for the Palestinian Authority president, Mahmud Abbas,
responded to the statements, calling on Obama to further press Israel to
accept a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
"Netanyahu's position is an official rejection of Mr Obama's initiative,
of international legitimacy and of international law," said Nabil Abu
Rudeina.
Hamas rejection
In statements made after their talks, both Obama and Netanyahu rejected
the involvement of Hamas in peace negotiations, following the recent
Palestinian unity deal involving the group and Abbas' Fatah faction.
Netanyahu said that Abbas would have to choose between "peace with
Israel and his pact with Hamas".
He also called Hamas the "Palestinian version of al-Qaeda".
Obama said, "It is very difficult for Israel to negotiate in a serious
way with a party that refuses to acknowledge its right to exist...
[Hamas] is not a partner for a significant, realistic peace process."
But Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas spokesperson, responded telling Al Jazeera:
"Hamas is not a terrorist organisation."
"We've spent 20 years in negotiations. It is enough. It is enough for
the Palestinians... Hamas is fighting for our people, for our homeland,
for our liberation, for our dignity, for our independence."
He also said that while a successful peace process remained to be seen:
"We cannot give Israel the carte blanch that they have to enjoy the
occupation... and to say we have to stop the resistance against the
occupation."
Right of return
Both Obama and Netanyahu spoke about refugees from the region, with
Obama calling for a right of return for Palestinians, and Netanyahu
largely focusing on Arab countries refusing support for Palestinians.
"Palestinian refugees cannot come to Israel... It's not going to
happen," he said.
Reporting from Shatti Beach refugee camp in Gaza, Al Jazeera's Nicole
Johnston said, "The statement is not surprising or unexpected for
Gazans... A lot of people here have lost hope of returning to what is
now Israel, returning to their homes."
She added, "People are very frustrated by the situation, but they're
also concerned with their more immediate needs", citing unemployment and
difficulty of access of resources.
On Thursday, Obama laid down his clearest markers yet on compromises
Israel should make towards peace in his speech on the 'Arab spring'.
Among his statements were support of a two-state solution, that
Palestinian territories should be demilitarised, and that borders should
be re-drawn as they were before Israel captured the West Bank and other
Palestinian land in 1967.
That position was seen as a message that Obama expected Israel to
eventually make concessions which they have resisted to date.
A senior Palestine Liberation Organisation official, Yasser Abed Rabbo,
said the PLO "favourably welcomes the Obama principles on the 1967
borders".
Quartet supports Obama
Before Obama and Netanyahu made statements, the Quartet of Middle East
negotiators - the United States, Russia, the European Union and the
United Nations voiced strong support for Obama's criteria for Middle
Eastern peace.
"The Quartet agrees that moving forward on the basis of territory and
security provides a foundation for Israelis and Palestinians to reach a
final resolution of the conflict through serious and substantive
negotiations and mutual agreement on all core issues," the group said in
a statement.
"The Quartet reiterates its strong appeal to the parties to overcome the
current obstacles and resume direct bilateral negotiations without delay
or preconditions," the Quartet said.

Iran has arrested 30 people it says were engaged in a "complex espionage
and sabotage network" run by the United States, state media reported.
The network of alleged spies was controlled by the Central Intelligence
Agency through US embassies in the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and
Malaysia, according to an intelligence ministry statement posted on the
Mehr news agency's website on Saturday.
"Due to the massive intelligence and counterintelligence work by Iranian

Results of the Arab/Muslim riots
The uprisings in the Arab/Muslim World have changed the region for the worse. Many who rioted thought they would be making a better life for themselves, instead they have put into power forces worse than those they rioted against. To make matters worse they have brought foreign military forces into the region as we are seeing in Libya. Let us examine how this effects the balance of power in the region.
As the main group behind these rioters is the Muslim brotherhood, either directly or by proxy, many assume that the objective would be to unite the Muslim World in an all out attack on israel. Were this the case they could have not done this in a worse way. With the military seizure of power in Egypt the Muslim brotherhood has influence in the largest Arab army, and one which could at least take out a significant chunk of the israeli military. After Egypt the rioters stepped up their actions in Libya, Algeria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain, not a wise move if one were to build an alliance to attack israel in the Arab World. In the case of Yemen and Bahrain it is understandable, with the anglo-american military presence in those two countries, the pro-western attitudes of the rulers, and in the case of Yemen the strategic location. In the case of Jordan the actions are counterproductive, as the Hashemites have been long term allies of the Palestinians and only made peace with israel to free up resources to take care of internal issues, including the very issues the rioters are supposedly rioting against.
With Syria, and Libya these are countries which America has been after for years, and the uprisings provide a convenient pretext for intervention. This has happened in the case of Libya, and Qaddafi has proven surprisingly resilient in leading Libya’s military in protecting the country, and this could happen in Syria. With Saudi Arabia and Algeria full scale riots have yet to destabilize those countries, yet if they were to break out they have the military force to crush them. In the case of Yemen and Bahrain the people have legitimate grievances with their government, yet no clear plan has been made to redress the people’s grievances. So the question remains, what is the purpose for the riots?
As has been stated above the goal is not to attack israel, for if this were the case the current situation in Libya would not have occurred. What we have instead is fodder for american/foreign intervention. One thing people overlook is that many nato countries, like those participating in the attack on Libya, are undergoing major military restructuring, that includes acquiring more modern weapons, and any country in such a situation will soon find some excuse to go to war to use those new weapons. Most interestingly enough many of the same groups that put on the anti-war demos during the bush administration while receiving government funding and support are speaking out in support of the rioters in those muslim countries, helping to paralyze the anti-war movement in america. This is even more strange as these same groups until 2011 had nothing but praise for Qaddafi and Assad. Clearly those who fund them want them to focus their energies elsewhere.
Lest one think that the Arab/Muslim situation is unique and question the motives of the western military/industrial complex consider the following. The first is that the embargo of all goods of Iranian origin from entering america is being enforced more vigorously that the entry of Hispanics illegally through the Mexican border. The second is that after the reported killing of Osama bin Laden the american/nato military expedition has made no plans to leave Afghanistan, Pakistan, or Central Asia. Clearly these acts show that the American/nato forces are not focused on peace, they are focused on conquest, and are behaving in a desperate manner.

Zendran NoRuz trouble from customs
Back in March a 1 Pahlavi Gold coin I ordered as a NoRuz gift was seized by customs as a suspicious item. In April I was informed by homeland security that customs would be holding the coin as the american government has put an embargo on all items of Iranian origin from entering america. I was informed the resaon for this blanket ban is to get Iran to cease it’s nuclear program. Yesterday I recieved the full refund of my order, as the package was insured.
This act by the american government is a clear act of discrimination. They forget that all past sanctions against Iran since 9/11 have failed and the at the “war on terror” is an excuse to go after Iranians and others from Western/Central Asia in the same way the “cold war” was an excuse to go after people of Slavic origin, organized crime busts are used to go after Italians, and drug busts are used to target Black Africans and Latinos.

Customs has confirmed that they have seized the item based on the
country of origin (Iran). They will be sending us an official letter to
confirm this but that is the end of our involvement in this matter.
You can now either contact US Customs immediately to protest or you can
wait until we receive the letter and we can send you a copy of it. As
Canadians we have no authority in the matter.

Crashers for british royal wedding crashed
As much as I hate most of the windsors, some of these protesters, namely
those anarchist international provaceturs, brought this on themselves.
If they hadn't gone soft taking government grants to put on pickets, and
ignored hardcore training for clashes with the pigs like was done back
in the 90's and like other groups around the World do, they would have
got results. People in the english speaking World need to get their act
together fast or they will have nobody to blame but themselves for
living in a dystopia.

Police fear a repeat of the chaotic scenes witnessed during the 400,000
strong trade union march against spending cuts last month, when small
groups of masked militants attacked shops and banks in London's busiest
shopping streets.
Individuals linked with UK Uncut – the protest group which carried out
the invasion and occupation of Fortnum & Masons in Piccadilly, during
the TUC march – are planning a headline-grabbing protest against the
marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton under the slogan "Reclaim
the Royal Wedding".
They want hundreds of disgruntled opponents of the monarchy to mingle
with the crowds outside Westminster Abbey and in Parliament Square.
As the ceremony reaches its climax inside the abbey they plan to unveil
banners and placards and shout anti-royal slogans.
The protesters, who were banned by police from staging an official
protest outside Westminster Abbey, will gather in Trafalgar Square
before joining the throngs heading for the celebrations.

Once there they plan to regroup and begin their protest.
In a carefully worded message on Facebook, Reclaim the Royal Wedding's
organisers said: "We cannot BE SEEN to condone any individuals or groups
who do protest outside Westminster Abbey because protesting in the
designated area is unlawful.
"Nor can we BE SEEN to condone the use of extremely effective megaphones
(which are disallowed), beautifully painted placards, remarkable banners
or other interesting devices of protest outside the Abbey or elsewhere
on the route.
"Also, we cannot BE SEEN to condone any other actions individuals or
groups might choose to undertake that would disrupt this occasion and
draw attention to other issues – such as the crippling cuts to public
services.
"Evidently, if they did occur, these sorts of actions, interruptions,
disruptions and images would be extremely embarrassing for the
Government and would generate massive worldwide media attention,
especially outside Westminster Abbey.
"It would be a remarkable spectacle!"
In on open invitation the statement adds: "However, if you would like to
meet up before heading off to watch the wedding, we will be casually
meeting at Trafalgar Square - around Nelson's column - between 9.30 and
10.30 am."
John Shepherd, Susan Petal and Ingrid Muller are three of the activists
behind the protest, which they say will attract hundreds of groups and
individuals.
Mr Shepherd, who studied war and peace studies at Keele University and
political science at University College London is a supporter of the
republican pressure group Republic, as well as UK Uncut.
"The monarchy for centuries has stood as a beacon of the status quo, at
the apex of our society it represents and perpetuates the sheer
inequality and wealth disparity in British society, and this wedding
reinforces that view," he said.
"We are not 'all in this together' and we want to make our voices heard,
peacefully."
However details of the event have been posted by Ms Petal and other
supporters on Facebook pages set up by adherents of the anarchist black
bloc, which revels in the tactics of violent confrontation with police
and was at the forefront of disturbances on the day of the TUC protest,
on March 26.
Writing on one of the largest black bloc Facebook pages Ms Petal said:
"Please support this event and invite your friends!"
Among the 1,500 people who have indicated they will attend the Reclaim
the Royal Wedding protest are trade unionists, left-wing activists and
environmentalists, as well as hundreds of students from colleges and
universities around the country.
But they also include numerous self-proclaimed anarchists and animal
rights militants.
While Scotland Yard is confident it can prevent any outbreaks of
disorder along the route of the procession, it fears anarchists will
cause trouble at other locations.
Targets could include shops with the royal warrant, tourist landmarks
and banks.
Several militants and anarchist groups have been plotting to disrupt the
wedding celebrations.
Some have boasted of preparing to come armed with masonry hammers to
break shop windows, catapults for firing ball-bearings at police horses
and smoke bombs.
One group, called Better Dead Than Wed, published details of the route
the royal couple will take to and from Westminster Abbey on the UK
Indymedia website, with a poster showing hangman's nooses round the
necks of William and Miss Middleton, under the slogan Time to Tie the
Knot.
The posting included the veiled threat: "I'm sure the activist community
will want to make sure the happy couple remember their special day."
Another group, The Government of the Dead, is to stage a 'zombie wedding
party' in Soho Square, before parading what they claim is a working
guillotine to Westminster where they intend to barrack and jeer the
royal procession.
The group is headed by Professor Chris Knight, a Marxist anthropologist
who was sacked by the University of East London over statements he made
about the use of violence against wealthy bankers.
Queer Resistance, a group of gay, lesbian and transsexual activists, are
planning to stage a flash mob near the route of the wedding in order to
mock the royal couple, in protest against cuts in spending on HIV care
and anti-homophobic bullying work in schools.
Shops and businesses along Oxford St, Regent St and Piccadilly fear they
will again be targeted by masked anarchists who last month smashed
windows, threw paint bombs and attempted to occupy banks and shops such
as Boots, Topshop and Vodafone.
More than 150 businesses were briefed by senior officers last Wednesday
about the security measures Scotland Yard plans to implement. They were
also advised on what security measures they can adopt to protect
themselves.
Police have banned any protests within the one mile security "footprint
of the wedding" around Buckingham Palace, the Mall, Whitehall,
Westminster Abbey and the Palace of Westminster.
A group of Muslim extremists who planned to burn the union flag outside
the Abbey have already been told they will be barred from gathering, as
will members of the far-right English Defence League who had intended to
hold a counter-demonstration.
Senior officers said that 60 anarchists arrested during the TUC march
have bail conditions that prevent them entering central London over the
wedding period and police spotters will keep a watch for activists who
have committed public order offences at demonstrations and may be
attempting to infiltrate the area.
A police source said: "The same faces often appear at different protests
and we will try and take a pre-emptive strike against them."
Police are receiving daily intelligence reports on plans to disrupt the
wedding from both covert and open sources, such as social networking
sites.
But they admit the black bloc tactic of militants turning up in small
groups to form a larger wedge of protesters is difficult for them to
anticipate.
Scotland Yard will have around 5,000 officers on duty, with 1,000 of
them operating as mobile teams to handle disturbances away from the main
event.
Assistant Commissioner Lynne Owens, head of central operations at
Scotland Yard, said: "If anyone comes to London on the day of the royal
wedding intending to commit criminal acts we will act quickly, robustly
and decisively."

Royal wedding: Police arrest 55 around security zone
Scotland Yard has hailed the security operation surrounding the royal
wedding as an "amazing success" despite 55 arrests around its security
zone.
About half the arrests were for breach of the peace and a man was held
for an alleged sex assault on a girl, aged 14.
Ten people carrying climbing gear and anti-monarchy placards were
arrested near Charing Cross.
Other arrests were for drunk and disorderly, criminal damage, theft and
over a suspected environmental protest.
Three people were held in the Covent Garden area over the alleged
demonstration, police said.
Anti-terror powers were used to arrest one man who was seen taking
suspicious photographs of transport hubs and security personnel in the
Charing Cross area.
Three others were held over drug offences and four for allegedly
carrying an offensive weapon.
Met Police Assistant Commissioner Lynne Owens said the success of the
overall policing operation showed that the force could handle security
for next year's Olympic Games.
She said her 5,000 officers should be "immensely proud" of their role in
the "happy and safe" event.
She admitted to pre-event "nerves" and defended the decision to carry
out a string of pre-event raids as "entirely justified".
Police bans
An estimated one million people had gathered along the wedding route.
The police said that number was more than expected.
Officers questioned masked anti-monarchy protesters in Soho Square as a
huge security operation took place around Buckingham Palace, Westminster
Abbey and The Mall.
Thousands of police officers created a "ring of steel" around the
venues. Snipers took to rooftops and undercover officers mingled among
the crowds
More than 90 people were banned from the area and up to 80 VIPs were
granted personal protection.
Over the past few days police have arrested three people believed to be
planning to behead effigies at the wedding.
They were detained by police in Brockley, south-east London, on Thursday
night.
There were also several raids on squats across London, which drew
criticism from one Labour backbencher.
John McDonnell accused police of "disproportionate" action, saying the
raids appeared to be "some form of pre-emptive strike".

Some Pakistani military news not being reported
With all the fuss over bin Laden's killing in Pakistan near the Pakistani military academy people forget that this is only the latest in a series of incidents going back years. Below is a more recent example.
Currently there are Pakistani Naval personell on Mayport, FL as the us navy recently sold the ex-USS McInerny FFG-8 to Pakistan as the PNS Alamgir. What the Pakistani Military forgot is thaty the ex-FFG-8 is the second of the Oliver Hazard Perry class, a class notorious for structural and combat peoblems. The infamous USS Stark FFG-31 and USS Samuel B Roberts FFG-58 were of this class and were easily taken out. The australian navy is phasing out those FFG's of that clas it operates after the hmas adelaide was successfully detained by 5 Iranian Fath class Fast Attack Craft in December 2004. Spain is phasing out the 6 OHP FFG's it operates as well, as are Turkey and Taiwan, as Turkey is favoring the Meko design and Taiwan the LaFayette design. Only america, Egypt, and Bahrain continue to operate OHP FFG's.
How the Pakistani navy can make this screwup is beyond me, but it makes one wonder why they did it in the first place to endanger their troops like this.

PNS Alamgir damaged in drydock
The PNS Alamgir and the drydock it was in were damaged while testing the ship's engines Friday morning.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A Navy guided missile frigate that was sold to the Pakistani navy earlier this year was damaged on Friday morning, along with the pier of a Northside shipyard where the ship is undergoing repairs.
The USS McInerny was transferred in August and renamed the PNS Alamgir. It was at BAE Drydock -- formerly Atlantic Drydock -- in the 8500 block of Heckscher Drive for renovations before it was to steam for Pakistan next week.
The U.S. Coast Guard said the ship's engines were being tested when it lurched forward, slamming into the pier causing heavy damage to the pier and the bow of the ship.
There was no oil or fuel spill, but the hull was crumpled.

In Islam, people are typically buried in the ground,
without a casket, before the next of five daily prayer
periods have taken place. The U.S. government
apparently decided it was risky for bin Laden to have
a known grave, lest it become a shrine to the world's
best-known terrorist.
Officials said that, in accordance with Muslim law, bin
Laden's burial at sea was conducted by a Muslim s
eaman, who recited the prayers and ensured that the
body was washed and wrapped appropriately in cloth.
But this task was hardly the Vinson's only high-
profile assignment. In the three decades since its
launch in 1980, the ship has earned the nickname
"America's favorite aircraft carrier." It has assisted with
key military and humanitarian operations around the
world.

Osama bin Laden reported killed in Pakistan
In reading the reports of bin laden's death we must ask ourselves the
real questions. That is
1. What has been done to confirm this is really bin Laden and not some
double like Saddam Hussein was in 2003.
2. Why did this occur now, at this location which has been of interest
since 2005? Notice this occured when there is a changeup in the
government involving thye defense dpt and cia leadership.
3. Will american/nato forces pull out of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq,
Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Gulf, as the whole purpose of the
american military presence initally was to get bin Laden?
4. Will the police state apparatus in america be dismantled? For the
past decade the "war on terror" has been used to target Muslims, Arabs,
Afghans, Iranians, Turanians, and the people of that region the same way
the cold war was used to target Russians, leftists, and people of Slavic
origin?

Osama bin Laden, the leader of al-Qaeda, is dead.
US president Barack Obama said bin Laden, the most-wanted fugitive on
the US list, had been killed on Sunday in a US operation in the
Pakistani city of Abbottabad, about 61km north of Islamabad.
"Tonight, I can report to the people of the United States and the world,
the United States had carried an operation that has killed Osama bin
Laden, a terrorist responsible for killing thousands of innocent
people," Obama said in a statement.
"Today, at my direction, the United States carried out that operation...
they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.
"The death of bin Laden marks the most significant achievement to date
against al-Qaeda.
"We must also reaffirm that United states is not and will never be at
war against Islam. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader, in fact, he
slaughtered many Muslims," Obama said.
Four people, including one of bin Laden's sons, were also killed in the
operation.
According to New York Times, bin Laden's body was taken to Afghanistan
and later buried at sea.
Hours after Obama made the announcement, a top al-Qaeda ideologue
promised revenge for bin Laden's death. The commentator, going by the
online name Assad al-Jihad2 posted on websites a long eulogy for the
al-Qaeda leader and promised to "avenge the killing of the Sheik of
Islam".
The Pakistani Taliban also threatened attacks against government
leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, the Pakistan army and the
United States.
"Now Pakistani rulers, President Zardari and the army will be our first
targets. America will be our second target," Ehsanullah Ehsan, a
spokesman for Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), or Taliban Movement of
Pakistan, told Reuters by telephone from an undisclosed location.
US celebrations

But as the news of bin Laden's death spread, crowds gathered outside the
White House in Washington DC to celebrate.
Former US president George Bush called his death a "momentous
achievement".

unmistakable message: No matter how long it takes, justice will be
done," Bush said in a statement.
According to Al Jazeeera's Rosalind Jordan in Washington, the operation
had been in the making for the last nine or 10 months.
"The fact that it happened inside Pakistan, there have been suggestions
that Pakistani intelligence may have been protecting them," she said.
Patty Culhane, another Al Jazeera correspondent, said the US authorities
got intelligence last September and were able to track bin Laden down
through his couriers. They followed them to his compound which was
reported to be worth over a million dollars.
Reporting from Pakistan, Al Jazeera's Kamal Hyder said the development
had caught a lot of people by surprise .
"He was considered by many as a hero, but not to the extent that people
would come out on the streets. The reaction so far not likely to be
strong on the streets, perhaps a protest here or there by the religious
parties," he said.
'Symbolic victory'
Qais Azimy, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Kabul, said Afghan officials
described bin Laden's killing as a "symbolic victory", since he was no
longer directly connected to the group's field operations.
"This organisation (Al Qaeda) is more than Bin Laden, it may be
symbolised by Bin Laden, but it definitely is more than Bin Laden"

Mark Kimmit, a US military analyst, said bin Laden's death "was not the
end of terrorism, but an end of a chapter."
"Capturing or killing bin Laden has more iconic value. It will have
symbolic value, because it has been a number of years since bin Laden
has exercised day to day control over operations. We still have an
al-Qaeda threat out there and that will be there for a number of years.
"This organisation (al-Qaeda) is more than bin Laden, it may be
symbolised by bin Laden, but it definitely is more than bin Laden," he
said.
It is, however, a major accomplishment for Obama and his national
security team. Obama's predecessor, George Bush, had repeatedly vowed to
bring to justice the mastermind of the September 11, 2001, attacks on
New York and Washington, but never did before leaving office in early
2009.
He had been the subject of a search since he eluded US soldiers and
Afghan militia forces in a large-scale assault on the Tora Bora
mountains in 2001. The trail quickly went cold after he disappeared and
many intelligence officials believed he had been hiding in Pakistan.
While in hiding, bin Laden had taunted the West and advocated his views
in videotapes spirited from his hideaway.
Besides September 11, Washington has also linked bin Laden to a string
of attacks - including the 1998 bombings of American embassies in Kenya
and Tanzania and the 2000 bombing of the warship USS Cole in Yemen.

Three former leaders of Italy, Austria, and Chile, who have all led progressive parties and movements in their long public careers, discussed the future of the “Next Left” at the Watson Institute this week.
Former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi was joined on Tuesday’s public panel by former president of Chile, Ricardo Lagos, and ex-chancellor of Austria, Alfred Gusenbauer. All three are currently visiting professors at Brown.
The policymakers shared their views on the economic and political challenges faced by the next generation of the left – focusing on the global conceptions of inequality, income re-distribution, and taxation, as well as on the shifting axes of world power and the implications of the most recent global financial crisis.
In his remarks to open the panel, Prodi highlighted, among other things, the political challenges of using taxation as an instrument for income distribution, a sentiment that was later echoed by Gusenbauer.
“I paid the price when I became severe with taxes,” said Prodi, describing events that led to a Senate vote of no confidence against him and, consequently, his resignation in January 2008.
Lagos emphasized the need to place more importance on equality, noting that in the United States, for instance, the wealthiest one percent of the population earns about 25 percent of total income.
Furthermore, inequality is a fundamental determinant of social outcomes and health, according to Lagos, who cited findings from the recent book Spirit Level: Why Equality is Better for Everyone by Richard Wilkinson and Kate Pickett.
According to the Lagos, the book’s findings show that that there is no rise in life expectancy and level of happiness above a threshold level of income per capita (roughly $20,000); furthermore, the book also established a strong correlation between high levels of inequality and social/health challenges of societal mobility, life expectancy, education, crime, and imprisonment.
In Latin America, according to Lagos, levels of per-capita income are rising though the region has yet to reach the “mythical” $20,000 threshold. “We’ve done it through mere fiscal expenditures,” he said, “but we’re still unable to touch taxes.”
Lagos also emphasized the importance of regulation and the critical role that international organizations like the World Bank have to play in restoring global financial health; for Latin America, the former Chilean president said it is important for countries to “speak with one voice.
“For the first time, we had a global financial crisis which Latin America had nothing to do with,” he said.
Gusenbauer criticized the “populist extreme right,” among other influences, for causing a global political crisis; such a crisis, Gusenbauer said, has undermined the “notion of nation” in different ways — including the transfer of power away from the nation-state because of European Union integration, and in Europe, the dilution caused by immigration.
Gusenbauer also suggested that taxpayers are bearing the cost of bailing out banks and other financial institutions during the crisis, while at the same time facing government austerity policies that reduce their public services.
“There is enormous expropriation of ordinary people,” he said, “because the banks were able to convince governments to bail them out.” He also added that allowing self-regulation in the financial sector was pointless and ineffective.
“Self-regulation is just a sophisticated way of saying ‘no regulation.’ It’s like asking a dog to be a guard over sausage,” Gusenbauer said.
Gusenbauer concluded by emphasizing that in an era of rising financial capitalism, the “Next Left” has to clearly decide which agenda it should pursue: “Either an agenda that serves Wall Street or one that serves Main Street.”
This week’s panel was the most recent in a series of Next Left events focusing on the future of progressive policy at the Watson Institute. Last October, Lagos and Gusenbauer spoke about “The Next Left: Globalized Social Democracy in the North and South.” In 2009, the series looked at the implications of Barrack Obama’s presidency for progressive policy.

Gusenbauer also suggested that taxpayers are bearing the cost of bailing out banks and other financial institutions during the crisis, while at the same time facing government austerity policies that reduce their public services.
“There is enormous expropriation of ordinary people,” he said, “because the banks were able to convince governments to bail them out.” He also added that allowing self-regulation in the financial sector was pointless and ineffective.
“Self-regulation is just a sophisticated way of saying ‘no regulation.’ It’s like asking a dog to be a guard over sausage,” Gusenbauer said.
Gusenbauer concluded by emphasizing that in an era of rising financial capitalism, the “Next Left” has to clearly decide which agenda it should pursue: “Either an agenda that serves Wall Street or one that serves Main Street.”

My response to reza pahlavi's recent q&a
Recently reza pahlavi has made some statements in his Q&A which he published March 31 2011 which are nonsensical and show his true, scatterbrianed nature. For instance when asked about Ali-Reza’s fueral he dodges the issue asked by Seyed, namely why did he only attend a few memorials and not go out and meet more people, including those who knew Ali-Reza’s death was murder and not suicide.
Just as scatterbrianed is his response to Negin on the riots in North Africa, where reza pahlavi ignores that what happened in Egypt and Libya was the work of provaceturs, saying nothing for Mubarak, who did a lot for Iran and who was a close friend of the Pahlavis. That he could forget this shows he is either crazy or deliberatly insulting those who supported him and those close to him for years. Or he could be so caught up in his democracy trip, which is apparent in his answers about the green movement.

Icke gets it wrong on Iran and color revolutions
Yesterday I finally found a copy of Icke’s book human race get off your knees the lion sleeps no more in an independent bookstore in cambridge. When I read pages 163-168 I noticed he had his facts wrong about the political upheavals in Iran since 1953, Ukraine’s orange revolution, and the cia backed uprising in Georgia that ousted Shevardnadze. Not only did he as usual publish the wrong facts about what happened with Mossadeq, but even more idiotic ignored news reports of dick holbrooke’s presence in Iran before the 2009 elections, or that holbrooke got his ideas for what to do in Iran from my series “Victimization of the Farsi, Arab, Turanian, and Central and Western Asian Peoples” which was a three article sereis I published with Icke from 2001-2003 and which I made a book in 2004. Icke even ignored that mousavi was manouvered into being khomeini’s prime minister by the cia, comitted some of the worst atrocities Iran experienced, and was not honest about the rigging in the 2009 elections, that he involved in it very much so. He also ignored the fact that Yuschenko was poisoned, and that was the cause of the riots that put him into power as part of the orange revolution. While Icke was right about the Georgian elections being rigged against Shevardnadze he ignored the reason behind it, so that america could station troops there. Icke needs to do his homework better.

More nwo connections to mideast upheavals
Recently I was checking for news from the watson institute when I
stumbled across this event.

Not only did brown lie as this event was not open to the public but
there were no adds for this event in advance. I did some digging on the
panelists and found there is plenty of dirt on both of them.
In checking shiva balaghi I found she had played a part in inciting the
riots in tahrir square and openly bragged about it on open source radio.

dpt, elliott colla, decided to shoot his mouth off at me, even though
chris admitted I was in the right and the article did not properly quote
it's source, and as a result got in trouble for it.

Royal pains for the Libyan, Iranian, and other Arab riots
With all the focus on the conflict in the Muslim World people are forgetting some of the key players. In regards to the Libyan situation one key player who has been making a lot of noise is Prince Muhammad, the head of the Senussi dynasty which Qaddafi overthrew in 1969. While Prince Muhammad has been active in attending anti-Qaddafi events in the uk where he lives he has made no effort to return to Libya, in particular to Benghazi where the Senussis are originally from and where his presence could change the situation dramatically.
One other story not being reported is the fact that many of the anti-Qaddafi forces have been attacking ethnic minorities and reporting them as attacks against Qaddafi's forces, I must thank Workers World for bringing this to light where others ignore it, as for once we are in agreement. Interestingly enough they fail to mention that King Abdullah II of Jordan used similar tactics that Qaddafi used initially, that is meeting with political opponents and isolating those inciting riots, yet this is ignored as well.
Speaking of old enemies of mine reza pahlavi has been issuing an open call to attack Iran on his facebok page, but has been too cowardly to put it anywhere else on his site, I have included it here along with other news stories linked here. Apparently with mousavi and karroubi wiped out of action reza pahlavi is showing his true colors and trying to seize control of a faltering movement.
This is just the latest in his bizarre acts. Recently he pulled the facebook page created in memory of Prince Ali-Reza, has been silent about the death of Princess Azadeh, and has not criticized prince william and kate for not rescheduling their wedding, which is occuring on what would have been Prince Ali-Reza's 45th birthday. Right now reza pahlavi has been so obsessed with creating riots that he has forgot how to govern.
Interestingly enough when meeting with hayal alavi earlier this month she admitted that the american government has been behind the riots in Libya, Egypt, and Iran's green movement from the getgo, but the government will not admit it openly.
Speaking of military matters the Algerians have been hitting my Naval Images pages more often. This may seem trivial, but when one considers that Algeria has a sizeable Navy to go with it's military, and that mass riots could erupt there any day like they did in Libya, Egypt, and Yemen one must consider that any potential rioters would want to know what they're up against.

Muhammad bin Sayyid Hassan as- Senussi, who would be Libya’s crown prince if the country still had a monarchy, said the people who were “killed by the brutal forces” of President Muammar Qaddafi are “heroes” and that their struggle will soon be victorious.
Qadaffi’s “fight to stay in power will not last long, because of the desire for freedom by the Libyan people,” Senussi, whose great-uncle King Idris was overthrown by Qaddafi in 1969, said in an e-mailed statement from London today. He called upon the international community “to halt all support for the dictator with immediate effect.”
Qaddafi’s crackdown on a week-long uprising, inspired by protests that overthrew the leaders of Tunisia and Egypt, has left more than 200 dead as regime supporters fired on demonstrators in Tripoli, according to Human Rights Watch. Libya’s royal family, which was for a period held under house arrest by Qaddafi, emigrated to the U.K. in 1988, according to the statement.
“I send my condolences for the heroes who have laid down their lives, killed by the brutal forces of Qaddafi,” the 48- year-old Senussi said. “The Libyan people have now chosen to challenge this regime peacefully until it is gone from Libya, and the people will not return to their homes until justice is delivered.”

Behind the demonizing of Gadhafi

Africa continues to be the most underdeveloped continent, despite having the world’s most abundant mineral wealth.
The United States in 1847 created Liberia as a place to send freed African-American slaves. Eventually it became the biggest rubber plantation in the world. In the late 19th century, most of the rest of Africa was carved up by the European colonial powers, including Germany, Britian, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and Belgium. By the time of World War I, Africa was nothing more than a gigantic plantation, with hundreds of millions of African peoples made into virtual slaves and their resources ripped off to help enrich European and U.S. capitalists.
After World War II, anti-colonial struggles spread like wildfire throughout Africa, bringing forth dynamic African leaders at the head of campaigns for independence and sovereignty from their former colonial oppressors. These heroic leaders included Patrice Lumumba, Amilcar Cabral, Samora Machel and Kwame Nkrumah.
Libya had been an Italian colony until Italy’s defeat in World War II. After the war, the U.S. and Britain set up a monarchy in Libya under King Idris I. Moammar al-Gadhafi was a military officer when he led a coup in 1969 against the monarchy. This led to the nationalization of Libya’s oil and social gains for the Libyan people.
In recent years, however, U.S. sanctions and military aggression against the Gadhafi regime led the government to make concessions and agree to austerity measures demanded by imperialist banks, all of which fueled unrest in the population.
On top of this growing imperialist intervention and pressure, the capitalist media are carrying out a vicious, vindictive campaign against Gadhafi, characterizing him in demonizing, racist terms like “mad dog.” Such terms are never used to describe former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak or other U.S. puppets in the Arab world, from Saudi Arabia to Jordan to Bahrain.
The U.S. has imposed sanctions on President Gadhafi and his family’s bank accounts; by contrast, the U.S. did not impose similar sanctions on Mubarak and his reported $70 billion in bank accounts. While President Barack Obama has publicly called for Gadhafi to step down from office, he treated Mubarak with kid gloves before the resolve of the Egyptian masses forced Mubarak to leave office.
The racist, hostile treatment of Gadhafi is not an isolated example. Another African leader who has been demonized in a comparable manner is Robert Mugabe, president of Zimbabwe. Unlike Gadhafi, Mugabe has been the leader of a national liberation movement, ZANU-PF. Mugabe forced Britain, the colonial oppressor, to the bargaining table in 1979 to work out an agreement in which Britain would subsidize the giving back to African war veterans of millions of acres of land stolen by white farmers. But Britain didn’t live up to the agreement. When Mugabe kept his promise to these freedom fighters by seizing the land, the U.S. and British governments in 2000 imposed genocidal sanctions on the Zimbabwean economy and also sought to isolate Mugabe with a prolonged character assassination. They called him a “tyrant” and “despot” and accused him of starving his people — when the real culprits were “structural adjustment” measures imposed by the IMF, along with periods of severe drought.
The Western imperialists have also made every effort to demonize President Omar al-Bashir of Sudan while funding secessionist movements in the oil-rich South and West of the country, imposing sanctions and bringing criminal charges against him in the International Criminal Court.
It is the right of any oppressed people to oppose and organize against their leaders if basic needs and rights are not being met. It is not the right of imperialist governments to manipulate, exploit and outright intervene in the internal affairs of another country while personally and politically demonizing their leaders. This is a violation of the basic right to self-determination.
There have been reports from news sources, including Al Jazeera, that low-waged migrants from Chad, Niger and other sub-Saharan African countries working in Libya have been physically attacked and accused of being “mercenaries” hired by Gadhafi. These attacks are being carried out by anti-Gadhafi forces who are receiving backing from the West.
The imperialists don’t care about any suffering of the Libyan people but will do what they deem in their interests to gain control of the oil that Libya possesses. The people of Libya don’t need imperialist intervention; they need and deserve reparations from imperialist banks and governments that have held back real economic development and political independence on a continent that has been severely abused for centuries, beginning with the devastating slave trade.
It is imperative that the progressive movement in the U.S. take up the clarion call of getting imperialism off the backs of the African people by intensifying the class struggle here. This is what real solidarity is all about.

Did lincoln chafee rig the election?
Last year I expounded on why Frank Caprio lost the RI Governor̢۪s race. In doing so I went over one key factor, election rigging. Of all his opponents one of them had the means to do this, lincoln chafee.
In looking at the election results two glaring inconsistencies stick out tho those who are in the state. The first is that Caprio lost his home precinct in providence̢۪s federal hill neighborhood, the second was that lincoln chafee got a similar amount of votes in Newport as the democrat candidate for Congress in that district. While to an outsider this may seem normal all one has to do is talk to someone who lives and works in those neighborhoods it would sem ridiculous. In the first case Caprio is immensly popular in federal hill, and in newport the democratic candidate is immensly hated. If this is the case then it gives credence that rigging may have been involved.
While chafee may have been independent of political parties he was not independent of money, and during the time he was at the watson institute he came under the influence of the same people who funded acorn, and I should not have to mention the role acorn has played in rigging elections since 2008, mainly through voter intimidation and packing polls with their people to help ensure an outcome to their liking. Consider how the democratic candidate in the race mentioned above was also backed by acorn, and that chafee backed the 2008 presidential candidate who acorn backed.
He also dealt with people who had experience rigging elections, including former Brazilian president cardoso. While at watson cardoso published in his memoirs, and in them he mentions how once he was elected president two of the first things he did was to make voting mandatory for every citizen, and to make all voting electronic, thus making it easier to manipulate an election, as there are no paper ballots, or people to count them. In addition there were people from special interest gropus, be they zionist, latino, lgbt, Marxist, and various other government backed provaceturs who would all owe chafee favors were he to become governor.
One can argue whether or not chafee rigged the election, the bottom line is that he had the means to rig the election, and the people he knew who could rig the election had every reason to put him in for their own benefit. In his campaign he appealed to conservatives who were loyal to his family and to liberals and other radicals who̢۪s views he claimed to share. My conversations with niac on Iran situation
Below is an exact transcript of an online conversation I had with nobar elmi on the situation in Iran. What niac does NOT understand that calls for action in the name of upholding human rights is just another justification for invading Iran, and that the so-called human rights abuses are often unsubstantiated and for Iranians to handle, not for foreign powers to meddle in.

Their soldierly loyalty must end at the boundary where their knowledge, conscience, and sense of responsibility forbid the execution of an order. In case their advice and warnings fall on deaf ears in such circumstances, then they have the right and the duty, before the people and history, to resign their offices. If they all act together, then it will be impossible to carry out military action. They will thereby saved the Fatherland from the worst, from total ruin. If a soldier in a position of highest authority in such times see his duties and tasks only within the limits of his military responsibilities, without consciousness of his higher responsibility to the whole people, then he shows a lack of greatness, a lack of comprehension of responsibility. Extraordinary times demand extraordinary actions!"

Major blunder by niac on Iranian affairs
Recently the national Iranian American council has chosen to go along with calling for human rights monitoring in Iran, using the detention of mousavi and karroubi as a justification. For an organization that claims to represent and protect Iranians this is hypocrisy for.
1. It gives a justification for military/subversive action against Iran, like the kind that was successful in Egypt, what is going in Libya, Bahrain, and Yemen, and what failed in Jordan.
2. Both mousavi and karroubi were responsible for the worst human rights violations that were committed when they served in the Iranian government under khomeini, and have connections with the cia, and were both to be put in power Iran would go the way of Iraq and Yugoslavia. What people also forget is that Malaysia has done the same thing with politicians who have threatened the safety of people, and risk condemnation to gain safety.
If anyone believes that niac is acting in the name of human rights then they believe in the tooth fairy.
