Today 80 years ago several German military leaders led by GeneralOberst Ludwig Beck made an attempt to kill hitler and his associates and seize control in Germany. While initially unsuccessful, that attempt laid the foundation for major changes in Germany and the World, and served as a model to resistance groups Worldwide, some successful, some works in progress, notably in Iran.
It should not be a surprise that many in Iran’s military oppose the islamic regime, and that they balance the defense of Iran and Iranians with opposing a corrupt and inept government, adhering to Beck’s “collective responsibility” dictum. Along with adopting the collective responsibility dictum Artesh Iran has added many modifications not to repeat the mistakes of Beck, Rommel, and Stauffenberg.
That has included working with Iranians abroad who have skills which can be applied for the greater good, negating the possibility of their being killed. That has led to friction in dealing with other groups, mainly pacifists, socialist, and religious groups and people. Regarding the pacifists and religious it is understandable, however they must realize what guarantees them peace and freedom of worship, and how much persecution has been done by jews, christians, and islamic sects. After all, some elements of nazism were taken from the teachings of Zarathustra, and while the nazis distorted facts about Zarathustra, the issue of judeo-christian bigotry remains to this time.
That is where a conflict with socialists comes in. While not opposed to the principles of socialism, marxists and some communist sects distort socialist principles and act as parasites that must be eliminated. As it is most socialists oppose war with Iran, however their motives and means must be questioned as their ineptitude often creates the very conflicts they seek to avoid, as was learned with the creation of the Iran nuclear deal, which created a catharsis for the Iranian community.
As such it has been necessary for those in opposition to jomhori mollah in Iran to be careful who they associate with. However, this has led to skewered ideas on who constitutes resistance and who is just playing revolution, as the judgement of many Iranians have been convoluted by contact with foreign and enemy entities. As such such people like rajavi, pahlavi, trita parsi, afsheen Nariman, masih alinejad alireza nader and such MUST be excluded from resistance activities as they have been contaminated by their own stupidity and ineptitude. A good litmus test to show who is serious about resistance is to determine if they backed the Iran deal of 2015, or have ever associated with rajavi’s organizations since 2015 when said deal was passed, for if so they are enemies and must be excluded.
Another test is to find out if those people have had extensive dealing with governments hostile to Iran like israel and america, and if so they must be excluded as well, for those forsworn to other powers and other foreign hostile agents is to invite trouble. While us Iranians abroad can be of assistance, we must be careful who we associate with, and ensure those abroad get their rewards. Especially with the advent of modern technology those abroad can interact more meaningfully.
Most important, we must look at our own flaws as well as that of our opponents, be it islamist or zionist, look at their roots, and be willing to take the necessary steps to address these flaws for the greater good. We must also realize that some things considered flaws are in fact strengths. For instance, while the nazis exploited German military culture, they and their opponents failed to realize the positive aspects, which Beck, Rommel, and Stauffenberg did, for had they succeeded things would have been better, even though the war and holocaust would not have ended right away.
Similarly, Artesh Iran has been a stabilizing force in and out of Iran, yet those calling themselves resistance to jomhori mollah fail to realize this. This is mainly as those calling themselves resistance today have lofty goals but lack the wherewithal to implement them. As Artesh understands this it is necessary for those calling themselves resistance to deal with groups like Free Iran Army and those with the means to implement a better Iran.
That is the most important lesson to learn from 20 July 1944, to have a clear realistic plan and the means to implement it. Those in Iran, as well as others in similar situations, ignore this at their own expense.
