On Tom Lehrer's death

This weekend Tom Lehrer died at his home in cambridge across the street from Mount Auburn hospital

I had walked by his place, and by him, thousands of times, not realizing who was there. While I and others enjoyed his music, though not always his teaching, Tom Lehrer was not someone you could chill out with like Leonard Nimoy was, making one question if Tom really will be missed.
