On the Zeno voyage and the Newport Tower

It was brought to my attention because of the recent happenings at the Newport Tower about the Zeno voyage of 1380, which I have been asked to comment on. This voyage is documented via a map saved by the Zeno family, and an account of their voyage to america in the company of a Prince called Zichmni, who is henry sinclair, earl of orkney
In their account they make landfall in what is now Newport, calling it Estotiland, however the Nahagansett and Wampanoag peoples chase them away, only the diplomacy of the Zeno's saves the expedition. from destruction as they agree never to return. This account does verify that earl sinclair did visit North America, yet the Zenos make no mention of him building the Newport Tower. If earl sinclair did return later with the templars and build the Newport Tower, it was done at a later date no later than 1400, and it was the last thing he ever did, for if he did build it it was in violation of the treaty he and the Zeno family made with the Nahagansett and Wampanoag peoples.
