The truth about “esther”

Recently the story of esther has been brought in the news with the zionist drive to attack Iran. Few people realize that the story of esther from jewish traditions which is in the old testament of the bible, is one of the greatest hoaxes ever told.
First, there is no evidence that Khashayar, who the Greeks call xerxes and the jews ahaserus, had a Queen named Esther. Khashayar’s Queen consort was named Amastra, not Esther, and many historians have mislabeled her tomb in modern day Hamadan as the tomb of “esther” by mistranslating Amastra for Esther, however these same historians neglect to mention that Amastra was not of Hebrew or Jewish origin.
These same historians gloss over the fact that a member of Khashayar’s harem was in fact named esther, as this esther is refered to as a banukha, or harem girl. However this esther never had a brother named mordecai nor did she uncover any plot to murder the jews of Hakhamanish Iran. The evidence is not there, and the story only gets traction because the majority of people who read the bible are familiar only with the king james or new international versions, and have never read or researched the original source material.
The modern zionist obsession with the purim festival, supposedly to commemorate the story of “esther”, comes from the execution of julius streicher on October 16, 1946 in Nuremberg. Streicher was of jewish origin, and like many self hating jews in Weimar Germany joined the nazi party. Streicher’s popularity was in his slanderous stories of jewish “atrocities” in the news, and even the nazis stripped him from all positions of power in 1940. At his execution before he was hanged he claimed that this was the 1946 observance of purim, and even said prophetically to the executioner that the communists would hang him. Therefore the observance of purim by Zionists kicks around the myth of “esther” to mask the celebration of the executions of nazis at Nuremberg, notably streicher.
Today one must look at hard facts of established myths who’s only basis for credibility is that they have been repeated so often they are accepted as truth, particularly by people many are hesitant to criticize. The story of “esther” is one of them, and the more we look at it, the more it is seen as another example of jewish lying.

Iran invasion backed by reza pahlavi

Once again reza pahlavi shows he is not fit to call himself Shah or any
kind of leader. The arab spring has made living conditions in Egypt and
Libya worse, as well as in Bahrain, Algreia, Syria, and has only spread
violence in the name of the same radical Islam which khomeini brought to
Iran, and which moderates inside Iran are eroding by themselves. This
statement by reza pahlavi is nothing short of incitement to invasion by
Iran.

Exiled Crown Prince campaigns to bring Arab Spring to Iran

Reza Pahlavi, the son and heir to the last Shah, wants to revive the
opposition by uniting critics of the regime behind a common platform. He
sees Friday’s elections for the Iranian Majlis, or parliament, as an
opportunity.

Calls for a boycott are circulating widely inside the country and
activists hope to push the turnout to a record low.

There have also been warnings from hardliners that President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad was prepared to use the interior ministry to rig the ballot
boxes.

“I believe we can find unanimity among a diverse group of forces for the elimination of a system in which the regime tries everything to claim legitimacy,” the prince said.

“We are waiting for this boycott to show that the regime is only hanging on by sheer terror. The last time Iran voted, the regime was not even willing to tolerate its own candidates. There is no more faith in its system.”

The vote will also, the prince points out, be the first since the Arab
Spring movement transformed the Middle East. At 17, the prince left Iran
for America and has been in exile since his father was deposed in 1979.
A lifetime of opposition to the Islamic regime has left him open to any
form of government that would supplant the current system, including a
constitutional monarchy, a Westminster-style democracy or a
French-modelled presidency.

The prince is vehemently opposed to a military strike on Iran’s nuclear
facilities. As an alternative, he calls for tighter sanctions to be
combined with overt support for the opposition.

“I don’t think anyone in their right mind thinks you could stop the regime from developing nuclear weapons,” he said.

“What you would do is delay it but then give the regime the scope to retaliate. This would be poison. The cost would be huge for the people of Iran. Instead of bringing the state to the point of an uncontrolled explosion with no plan in mind, there is a better alternative.

“We propose a national congress that clearly sets out our proposals for changing the regime.

“You can support this, or try your chances with military action without a clear idea of the outcome.”

Iran attack condoned by american/zionist governments

This news forever shows that Iran can never trusts the governments of
america and israel, and that it must do everything to defend itself.
This also shows that Iranians can not trust members of the jewish
community. While many may dismiss this as talk the threat of invasion
is real, atacks on Iranians in america are real, and zionists
machinations against Iranians are real. Not to mention the history of
lying netanyahu has since Waldheim's days, or the history of the nigger
in the white house bowing to pressure from outside sources. Interesting
this news about the scroll of esther as a gift, as the story of esther
is one of the greatest fabrications in history. Curious that the
zionists are not reporting reza pahlavi now openly backing invasion of
Iran. Or how Russia is organizing the rest of the World to pounce on
america and their zionist backers if war with Iran occurs.

Netanyahu addresses AIPAC (Video: Reuters)

Netanyahu was quick to focus on the nuclear threat posed by Iran: "Every
day, I open a newspaper and read about deadlines and red lines, about
what Israel might do and will do – but I won't talk about that. I will
never talk about that. As the prime minister of Israel, I will not
gamble with its security."

"I want to explain about the dangers of Iran, and why Iran should never
be allowed to develop nuclear weapons," Netanyahu continued.

'If it walks like a duck…'
"President Obama stated clearly that the US wants to prevent Iran from
having nuclear weapons and that… all options are on the table. Israel
has the same policy – we're determined to prevent Iran from having
nuclear weapons and we leave all options on the table.

"Israel has patiently waited for the international community to resolve
this issue. We've waited for

diplomacy to work, we've waited for sanctions to work. None of us can
afford to wait much longer," he said.

"Iran says that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but I say
– if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck
– it's a duck. But this is a nuclear duck! And It is impossible to
believe that the world's most dangerous regime won't use the world most
dangerous weapon.

"A nuclear-armed Iran," he warned, "Will embolden its proxies, like
Hezbollah, to attack Israel and US targets. And they will. They'll be
doing so backed by a nuclear regime. A nuclear-armed Iran could choke
the world's oil supplies. It could blackmail the world on oil."

A nuclear-armed Iran is likely to spark an arms race in the Middle East,
he continued, "And the worst nightmare – a nuclear-armed Iran could
threaten all of us with nuclear terrorism."

"The Jewish state will not allow those who seek our annihilation to
develop such weapons. A nuclear Iran must be stopped," Netanyahu stated.
"When it comes to Israel's survival we must always remain masters of our
fate."

During his meeting with the American president earlier Monday, Netanyahu
reportedly stressed that Israel has yet to reach a decision regarding a
possible strike on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Speaking with reports after the meeting, Netanyahu said that "the
Israeli position was met with understanding."

Obama addressed the AIPAC conference on Sunday and reiterated the United
States' commitment to Israel's defense and security, as well as its
resolve to stop Iran from achieving nuclear weapons.

"Iran's leaders should know that I do not have a policy of containment;
I have a policy to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. And as
I’ve made clear time and again during the course of my presidency, I
will not hesitate to use force when it is necessary to defend the United
States and its interests," Obama declared.

Obama addresses AIPAC conference (Video: Reuters)

"That is why America’s commitment to Israel has endured under Democratic
and Republican Presidents, and congressional leaders of both parties. In
the United States, our support for Israel is bipartisan, and that is how
it should stay.

"Four years ago, I stood before you and said that 'Israel’s security is
sacrosanct. It is non-negotiable.' That belief has guided my actions as
President. The fact is, my Administration’s commitment to Israel’s
security has been unprecedented. Our military and intelligence
cooperation has never been closer. Our joint exercises and training have
never been more robust.

'We all prefer diplomatic solution.' Obama at AIPAC conference

On the eve of his meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Obama
said that "despite a tough budget environment, our security assistance
has increased every year. We are investing in new capabilities. We’re
providing Israel with more advanced technology – the type of products
and systems that only go to our closest friends and allies. And make no
mistake: we will do what it takes to preserve Israel’s qualitative
military edge – because Israel must always have the ability to defend
itself, by itself, against any threat," the American leader said.

Addressing the Iranian threat, the US president said, "Let’s begin with
a basic truth that you all understand: no Israeli government can
tolerate a nuclear weapon in the hands of a regime that denies the
Holocaust, threatens to wipe Israel off the map, and sponsors terrorist
groups committed to Israel’s destruction. And so I understand the
profound historical obligation that weighs on the shoulders of Bibi
Netanyahu, Ehud Barak, and all of Israel’s leaders.

"A nuclear-armed Iran is completely counter to Israel’s security
interests. But it is also counter to the national security interests of
the United States. Indeed, the entire world has an interest in
preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. A nuclear-armed Iran
would thoroughly undermine the non-proliferation regime that we have
done so much to build. There are risks that an Iranian nuclear weapon
could fall into the hands of a terrorist organization," he added.

"It is almost certain that others in the region would feel compelled to
get their own nuclear weapon, triggering an arms race in one of the most
volatile regions in the world. It would embolden a regime that has
brutalized its own people, and it would embolden Iran’s proxies, who
have carried out terrorist attacks from the Levant to southwest Asia."

The president continued to say that "we all prefer to resolve this issue
diplomatically. Having said that, Iran’s leaders should have no doubt
about the resolve of the United States, just as they should not doubt
Israel’s sovereign right to make its own decisions about what is
required to meet its security needs. I have said that when it comes to
preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, I will take no options
off the table, and I mean what I say. That includes all elements of
American power. A political effort aimed at isolating Iran; a diplomatic
effort to sustain our coalition and ensure that the Iranian program is
monitored; an economic effort to impose crippling sanctions; and, yes, a
military effort to be prepared for any contingency.

"Iran’s leaders should know that I do not have a policy of containment;
I have a policy to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. And as
I’ve made clear time and again during the course of my presidency, I
will not hesitate to use force when it is necessary to defend the United
States and its interests," Obama declared.

The American leader also addressed the stalled peace Mideast peace
negotiations, saying, "Of course, there are those who question not my
security and diplomatic commitments, but my Administration’s ongoing
pursuit of peace between Israelis and Palestinians. So let me say this:
I make no apologies for pursuing peace. Israel’s own leaders understand
the necessity of peace. Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister
Barak, and President Peres – each of them have called for two states, a
secure Israel that lives side by side with an independent Palestinian
state.

"I believe that peace is profoundly in Israel’s security interest. The
reality that Israel faces – from shifting demographics, to emerging
technologies, to an extremely difficult international environment –
demands a resolution of this issue. And I believe that peace with the
Palestinians is consistent with Israel’s founding values – because of
our shared belief in self-determination; and because Israel’s place as a
Jewish and democratic state must be protected," Obama added.

PM hands Obama a Megila: Persian plot against Jews
By REUTERS
06/03/2012
“Then too, they wanted to wipe us out,” Netanyahu tells the US president after giving him a gift of the Scroll of Esther.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu handed US President Barack Obama a
gift on Monday that spoke volumes about Israel’s tensions with Iran – an
ancient Hebrew tome about a Persian plot to annihilate Jews, otherwise
known as the Scroll of Esther.

The Scroll, or the Megila, tells a tale of palace intrigue featuring a
Jewish beauty, Queen Esther, who charms a Persian king into foiling an
evil adviser’s genocidal plans for her people some 2,500 years ago.

“Then too, they wanted to wipe us out,” Netanyahu told Obama, according to an Israeli official.

Jews around the world will gather in synagogues on Wednesday to read the
Megila, on the eve of the Jewish holiday of Purim, a celebration of
salvation and of turning the tables on one’s foes.

“And the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and with slaughter and destruction, and did what they would unto them that hated them,” one of the verses says.

Netanyahu, who has called Iran’s nuclear program a threat to the Jewish
state’s existence, made a point of telling reporters after his White
House meeting with the president that he had given the Megila to Obama.
The Israeli leader, in a frosty meeting with Obama last May, lectured
the president on Jewish history and criticized his approach to resolving
the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Netanyahu has also invoked the lessons of the Nazi Holocaust, in which
six million Jews were killed, in citing the dangers he says a
nuclear-armed Iran – the modern-day Persia – would pose.

Obama appealed to Netanyahu at their White House meeting to give
economic sanctions time to work, amid concern that Israel, widely
believed to be the Middle East’s only nuclear power, could strike
Iranian atomic sites.

Iran says it is enriching uranium for peaceful purposes.

Was Zendran set up by occupiers and why?

In viewing the events of the first 10 days in October in the occupy movement and events which occurred around the occupy movement one has every reason to believe that the occupiers wanted revenge on Zendran, for while they had common enemies the difference is that many of them are government provaceturs, acting to hijack movements. Bear in mind that on October 8 2011 I positively identified charles feldman, a RI government official who had looted state funds and misrepresented disabled people, and martin lazzareschi, someone who has impersonated a cop for years, as provaceturs, and that I had blocked the occupy college hill group from merging with the occupy providence group because of the former’s unwillingness to come out in support of local activists harassed by brown university.
The members of occupy providence knew that I’d be travelling to Boston on October 12 and to New York later on October 27 and would have seen firsthand the other occupy movements, and perhaps the other occupiers were afraid I would spot government provaceturs there and out them as well. As the only occupiers who I had talked with at length were jared paul, ike mccarthy, atermis moonhawk, and joyce katzberg, who I later learned had set me up to prevent me from exposing them as provaceturs. In the past jared paul and his friends had coerced me into giving them contact info for CALEA in July 2007 days after the alex svoboda incident, knowing I didn’t attend they threatened to spread rumors I was a snitch for not attending, knowing I had issues with the people who created that incident. I also had confrontations with food not bombs over their vegan supremacist beliefs and with the friends of the our abovementioned at the December 10, 2002 demo against ehud barak and the April 1, 2003 demo against richard perle with friends of the abovementioned provaceturs. As it would turn out the punks who attacked and tried to rob me lived in the same neighborhood as many on the occupy providence provaceturs do.
That the occupy providence punks had the backing of people in government is all too evident when one looks at the facts. The day I was arraigned a teach-in was held at which mike kennedy, the former director of the watson institute and a cfr affiliate, gave a speech
http://www.browndailyherald.com/occupy-teach-in-draws-full-house-in-salomon-1.2651788#.T1Jg8XnLvAk
Additionally both RI governor lincoln chafee, RI senator sheldon whitehouse, RI congressman cicilline, and providence mayor taveras openly came out in support of the occupiers, which was one of the main reasons for the cops not shutting them down, and it was only from popular outrage that the occupiers finally decided to end their encampment. All four of those political figures have had serious issues with me and each would have had an excuse to want me out of the way.
This is particularly true for cicilline, who had targeted me for police harassment while providence mayor, for my investigating him on accusations of rape in 1998 while working as an advocate when he was a RI state legislator. In the case of chafee I had spoken with a member of the US Army on how chafee and other RI political leaders had lied in exaggerating the damage caused by Hurricane Irene. I had also mentioned to that Army soldier about my travel plans for October 12, 2011, namely how I had planned to meet with firouz naderi later that day at a talk he was giving about life outside earth. Seeing how I had documented how the strange weather of September 30/October 1 2011 was caused by ET’s and the strange objects that had appeared in the sky over Boston around the same time this must be mentioned.

Iran security news roundup

China, India, and the rest of the non-anglo World to follow Russia's
lead. Notice with this news about what nato plans to do also justifies
Russian actions, for nato has no business dealing with Iran and Syria,
let alone that part of the World, in the first place.

Russia Renews Opposition to Military Option against Iran

TEHRAN (FNA)- Russian top diplomat Sergei Lavrov reiterated his
country's strong opposition to using military force against Iran, and
urged a negotiated end to the differences between Iran and the West.

Lavrov said on Monday that his country will not accept use of military
force against Iran.

Stressing his country's stance against any probable military action
against Iran, Lavrov said in a press conference with his Emirati
counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al- Nahyan in Moscow that Iran's nuclear
issue must be resolved through political means.

He said Russia is concerned about developments on Iran's nuclear
programs and believes that the only way to solve it is through peaceful
means, and taking any the military action must be completely removed
from the agenda.

"Russia is interested in establishing peace and stability in the Middle
East region and is ready to negotiate with all UN Security Council
members to reach a consensus on establishment of security in the Persian
Gulf," the Russian foreign minister said.

The Russian foreign ministry had earlier rapped the Zionist regime for
its war rhetoric against Iran, and cautioned that the approach will
increase tensions and have dire consequences.

On Wednesday, Mikhail Ulyanov, the head of Security and Disarmament
Department at Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denounced Tel Aviv's
hawkish rhetoric on Iran over its nuclear program as "inventions" that
"are increasing the tension and could encourage moves towards a military
solution with catastrophic consequences."

The top Russian official also described the speculations over Iran's
nuclear program as "noise" and reiterated that such allegations "have
political and propaganda objectives, which are far from being
inoffensive."

The US and its close ally Israel have recently intensified their war
rhetoric against Iran. The two arch foes of the Islamic Republic accuse
Iran of seeking a nuclear weapon, while they have never presented any
corroborative document to substantiate their allegations. Both
Washington and Tel Aviv possess advanced weapons of mass destruction,
including nuclear warheads.

Iran vehemently denies the charges, insisting that its nuclear program
is for peaceful purposes only. Tehran stresses that the country has
always pursued a civilian path to provide power to the growing number of
Iranian population, whose fossil fuel would eventually run dry.

Iran has, in return, warned that it would target Israel and its
worldwide interests in case it comes under attack by the Tel Aviv.

The United States has long stressed that military action is a main
option for the White House to deter Iran's progress in the field of
nuclear technology.

Iran has warned that in case of an attack by either the US or Israel, it
will target 32 American bases in the Middle East and close the strategic
Strait of Hormuz.

An estimated 40 percent of the world's oil supply passes through the
waterway.

Iranian mosquitoes to bite US Navy hard

14.02.2012 16:34
Iranian mosquitos to bite US Navy hard. 46606.jpeg

US Vice Adm. Mark Fox, the commander of the 5th Fleet, fears that Iran
may use mini submarines in case of the conflict in the Persian Gulf.
"They have increased the number of submarines ... they increased the
number of fast attack craft," Vice Admiral Mark Fox told reporters.
"Some of the small boats have been outfitted with a large warhead that
could be used as a suicide explosive device. The Iranians have a large
mine inventory," he added. Fox believes that the Islamic Republic
constantly increases its naval presence in the region. Moreover, Fox
added, Iran can block the Strait of Hormuz - the water artery used to
transport nearly 40 percent of world's crude.

According to US intelligence, the Iranian Navy has ten "suicide boats."
Fox added that US troops would be able to prevent the attempts to block
the strategically important strait. However, he says that the US should
not ignore the Iranian threats. According to him, Iran's use of mini
submarines can cause very serious problems in the region, which will be
very hard to cope with for the US.

The Islamic Republic has been developing its "mosquito fleet" during the
recent years. Iran builds missile and torpedo boats, as well as the
fleet of mini subs. It is worthy of note that during the times of the
Cold War, the majority of analysts were certain that "mosquito forces"
would not be able to play an important role in global conflicts.

They particularly referred to the WWII experience saying that multiple
torpedo boats were one of the least efficient weapons. The boats were
presumably used for auxiliary missions, such as intelligence operations,
building minefield obstacles and landing commandoes.

Few positive things were said about mini submarines too. Soviet and
Western experts believed that such subs did not play a decisive role in
WWII. Small submarines were of small range for their operations, let
alone their low technical performance.

Nevertheless, fast boats and small submarines pose a serious danger to
combat vessels. It would be enough to say that there was a speedy
inflatable boat used to attack the USS Cole off Yemen in 2000.

Nowadays, the Iranian Navy has up to 1,500 speedy boats. Nearly all of
them can be used for suicide attacks.

As for the possible use of small submarines, this is a relatively new
way of struggle for Iran. The Islamic Republic owns both Iranian and
North Korean 90-110 tonnage midget subs. The Iranian subs are based on
the well-known Italian minisubs.

Konstantin Sivkov, the Vice President of the Academy for Geopolitical
Problems, said in an interview with Pravda.Ru that Iran's suicide subs
would not be as efficient as it may seem.

"The variants of the torpedoes like those used by the Japanese during
WWII proved to be inefficient. That was mostly because of low technical
characteristics. First off, they could not operate autonomously too far
from the basic forces of the navy. In addition, the equipment of such
torpedoes reduced their speed. To crown it all, if they were detected,
it was very easy to destroy them. Common submarines can fully replace
midget subs.

"Modern underwater commando forces can indeed cause considerable damage
to the enemy. However, it can only happen in case of unexpected attacks
against naval bases or against the vessels traveling at low speeds. This
is not going to work in the Persian Gulf, because the Americans defend
their bases well, and their vessels travel at high speeds. The Iranian
midget subs are slow and quite noisy.

"I'd be more concerned about common diesel-powered submarines, which
Iran has. They are known as "black holes" because of their very low
noise level. It is very hard to detect such submarines even with the
help of modern equipment," the expert said.

We would also like to mention here that the development of missile
weapons after WWII has increased the opportunities of the mosquito
fleet. The boats equipped with anti-ship missiles can obviously conduct
highly efficient attacks.

The events of 1984-1989, known as the Tanker War, showed that such
vessels could be efficient. The Iranians managed to strike more than 400
targets without the use of suicide attackers. Those were not only
tankers, but also oil rigs. They even paralyzed navigation in the
Persian Gulf for a while.

The administration of the Islamic Republic was perfectly aware of the
fact that it would not be able to have the navy comparable to that of
the US. They used the "mosquito fleet" instead. Will the Americans be
able to protect huge Saudi tankers?

NATO launches radar in Turkey to target Russia, Iran and Syria

18.01.2012 17:35

Turkey has recently launched the early warning radar station - a part of
NATO's missile system, which the USA has been building near Russia's
borders. The radar station will be controlled from Germany. The station
is located in the town of Malatya, which 500 kilometers to the
south-east from Ankara and some 700 kilometers from the border with
Iran. Turkish and US servicemen will serve at the object.

Turkey agreed to deploy the radar station on its territory in September
2011. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan stated back then that the
deployment of the radar in Turkey would be an important step for the
whole region.

The data from the station will be transferred to command posts in the
United States and to the ships equipped with AEGIS systems (sea-based
missile defense systems). NATO officials stated that the radar station
was deployed in Turkey in connection with the growing threat for Iran to
use small and medium range missiles in the Middle East.

Several local politicians stood up against the deployments of the
elements of NATO's missile defense system in Turkey. They believe that
the West would thus get Turkey involved in a possible conflict with
Teheran.

Needless to say that Iran was strongly against the deployment of the
missile defense system in Turkey. Iranian officials claimed that such a
move could only exacerbate tension in the region. Turkish officials
responded with saying that the deployment of the missile defense system
elements was not aimed against any other country.

The deployment of the radar station raised concerns among other
countries of the region indeed. The distance from the station to Syria,
for example, is a bit more than 200 kilometers. Syrian President Bashar
Assad pays a lot of attention to his missile potential. His generals are
certain that hundreds of Syrian short-range missiles would guarantee no
aggression against Syria. Syrian officials earlier stated that their
country would shower Turkey and Israel with missiles in case of
aggression.

Moreover, many Syrian analysts say that the deployment of the radar
station in Turkey proves the preservation of the military alliance
between Ankara and Tel Aviv. Israel will also be receiving the data from
the Turkish radar.

Russia was not thrilled with the news either. NATO invited Russia to
take part in the project, but the talks came to a standstill. Russia
also tried to obtain legal guarantees saying that the system would not
be aimed against her, but the US refused to do it.

NATO's Secretary General Rasmussen set out a hope that the adequate
political agreement with Moscow could be achieved before the Russia-NATO
summit, which is to take place in Chicago in the spring of the current
year. However, chances for that are slim, because Russia will only be
able to play the role of a silent observer. NATO can only offer Russia
to sit and watch its strength growing.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev (read article) stated in November 2011
that Russia would take a complex of measures in response to the
deployment of the missile defense system in Europe. However, Konstantin
Sivkov, the first vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical
Problems, told Pravda.Ru that Russia had practically nothing to respond
to the threat from NATO.

"As for Iskander systems, they can be used against the objects of
missile defense in Poland. Iskanders would have to be deployed either in
Russia's Kaliningrad region or in Belarus. However, it will be
impossible to hit the targets in Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey. The
radius of Iskander complexes is 280 kilometers. In addition, the
Americans believe that they will be able to neutralize this virtual
threat with the help of ATACMS missile complexes.

"Russia will not be able to use nuclear weapons in this situation. We
have our aviation, but I seriously doubt that the Russian combat
aviation will be able to win a battle just because of the enemy's
considerable superiority in the air.

"We can use cruise missiles. However, Russia does not have enough
vessels to patrol NATO's coasts. There are also strategic aircraft that
can launch cruise missiles and remain invulnerable to the enemy.
However, the Russian arsenal of cruise missiles is not enough either.
Our missiles can not be compared to the Tomahawks that can strike
targets at distances of up to 2,500 kilometers," the expert said.

The zionist menace towards Iran

Notice how nobody had any sympathy over Iranians killed by zionist
bombings, yet the zionists brainwash people into feeling sorry for them
whenever they get hit, especially when Iranians put these zionist pigs
in their place after all the harm zionists have done, see Palestine for
an excellent justification. In addition, notice how the zionists openly
back the mko, an open terror group, and the World says nothing. Also

Analyst: US, Europe Seeking to Destabilize Region by Supporting MKO

TEHRAN (FNA)- A senior Pakistani analyst blasted the US and European
states' support for the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO),
and stressed that the western states are seeking to destabilize the
region by supporting the terrorist group.

In an interview with Habilian website, the official website of Iran's
Habilian Association - a human rights group formed by the families of
17,000 terror victims in Iran - Seyed Feiz Hussein Naqshbandi described
US and European supports for the MKO as "political and immoral."

He added the US seeks to create insecurity in the countries opposed to
the colonial policies of America by such measures.

Naqshbandi said that the supports of the United States and some European
countries for terrorists are aimed at "creating turmoil and turbulence
in the Middle East."

He further explained that "unity and alliance of the countries in the
region can neutralize the American efforts" to destroy the unity of the
neighboring countries.

Earlier reports said that the ringleaders of the terrorist Mojahedin-e
Khalq Organization who were under the Iraqi government's pressures to
leave the country have transferred a number of the group's members to
the European countries.

According to the report, the 200 members of the terrorist MKO who had
disappeared from the notorious Camp Ashraf in Iraq in past months have
been reappearing in European countries.

The MKO has been in Iraq's Diyala province since the 1980s.

The MKO, whose main stronghold is in Iraq, is blacklisted by much of the
international community, including the United States.

The MKO is behind a slew of assassinations and bombings inside Iran, a
number of EU parliamentarians said in a recent letter in which they
slammed a British court decision to remove the MKO from the British
terror list. The EU officials also added that the group has no public
support within Iran because of their role in helping Saddam Hussein in
the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).

The group started assassination of the citizens and officials after the
revolution in a bid to take control of the newly established Islamic
Republic. It killed several of Iran's new leaders in the early years
after the revolution, including the then President, Mohammad Ali
Rajayee, Prime Minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the Judiciary Chief,
Mohammad Hossein Beheshti who were killed in bomb attacks by MKO members
in 1981.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein
and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd
uprisings in the country.

The terrorist group joined Saddam's army during the Iraqi imposed war on
Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian
civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Since the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the group, which now adheres to a
pro-free-market philosophy, has been strongly backed by
neo-conservatives in the United States, who also argue for the MKO to be
taken off the US terror list.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel accused arch-enemies Iran and its Lebanese
ally Hezbollah of being behind twin bomb attacks that targeted Israeli
embassy staff in India and Georgia on Monday, wounding four people.

Tehran denied involvement in the attacks, which amplified tensions
between two countries already at loggerheads over Iran's nuclear
program, and accused Israel of carrying out the attacks itself.
Hezbollah made no comment.

In the Indian capital New Delhi, a bomb wrecked a car taking an Israeli
embassy official to pick up her children from school, police said. The
woman needed surgery to remove shrapnel but her life was not in danger.

Her driver and two passers-by suffered lesser injuries.

Israeli officials said an attempt to bomb an embassy car in the Georgian
capital Tbilisi failed, and the device was defused.

Israel had put its foreign missions on high alert ahead of the fourth
anniversary this past Sunday of the assassination in Syria of the
military mastermind of Hezbollah, Imad Moughniyeh - an attack widely
assumed to be the work of Israeli agents.

Israel is believed to be locked in a wider covert war with Iran, whose
nuclear program has been beset by apparent sabotage, including the
unclaimed killings of several Iranian nuclear scientists, most recently
in January.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed both Iran and Hezbollah,
accusing them of responsibility for a string of recent attempted attacks
on Israeli interests in countries as far apart as Thailand and
Azerbaijan.

"Iran and its proxy Hezbollah are behind each of these attacks," said
Netanyahu, who dismisses Iran denials that it is trying to develop a
nuclear weapon. "We will continue to take strong and systematic, yet
patient, action against the international terrorism that originates in
Iran."

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast rejected
Netanyahu's accusation, saying it was Israel that had carried out the
attacks as part of its psychological warfare against Iran.

"It seems that these suspicious incidents are designed by the Zionist
regime and carried out with the aim of harming Iran's reputation," the
official news agency IRNA quoted Mehmanparast as saying.

Israeli officials have long made veiled threats to retaliate against
Lebanon for any Hezbollah attack on their interests abroad, arguing that
as the Islamist group sits in government in Beirut, its actions reflect
national policy.

White House spokesman Jay Carney told reporters in Washington that the
United States had no information yet on who was responsible, adding:
"These incidents underscore our ongoing concerns of the targeting of
Israeli interests overseas."

MOTORCYCLE ATTACK

The New Delhi blast took place some 500 meters (yards) from the official
residence of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

B.K. Gupta, the New Delhi police commissioner, said a witness had seen a
motorcyclist stick a device to the back of the car, which had diplomatic
registration plates.

"The eyewitness ... says it (was) some kind of magnetic device. As soon
as the motorcycle moved away a good distance from the car, the car blew
up and it caught fire," said Gupta.

The Iranian scientist killed in Tehran last month died in a similar such
attack by a motorcyclist who attached a device to his car. No one has
claimed responsibility for that, although Iran was quick to accuse
agents of Israel and its U.S. ally.

Israel named the injured woman as Talya Yehoshua Koren, who worked at
the embassy and was married to the defense attache.

"She was able to drag herself from the car and is now at the American
hospital, where two Israeli doctors are treating her," an Israeli
Defense Ministry spokesman said.

Thailand said last month its police had arrested a Lebanese man linked
to Hezbollah, and that he later led them to a warehouse stocked with
bomb-making materials. Also last month, authorities in Azerbaijan
arrested two people suspected of plotting to attack Israel's ambassador
and a local rabbi.

In a speech on January 24, Israel's military chief of staff,
Lieutenant-General Benny Gantz, accused Hezbollah of trying to carry out
proxy attacks while avoiding direct confrontation.

"During this period of time, when our enemies in the north avoid
carrying out attacks, fearing a harsh response, we are witnesses to the
ongoing attempts by Hezbollah and other hostile entities to execute
vicious terror attacks at locations far away from the state of Israel,"
Gantz said.

"I suggest that no one test our resolve."

Israel and Hezbollah fought an inconclusive and costly war across the
Lebanese border in 2006.

Two Iranians arrested over Bangkok bomb blasts

Last Updated: 9:36 AM, February 14, 2012

Posted: 7:07 AM, February 14, 2012

BANGKOK -- Two Iranians were arrested following three bomb blasts that
injured at least four people and the suspected bomber in Bangkok on
Tuesday, it was reported.

The first explosion took place at a house rented by three Iranian men in
the Klongton district, south of the city's center, at about 2:00 p.m.
local time, police deputy commissioner Pisit Pisutsak said.

Two of the men fled the scene, and a third man, who was injured, then
tried to take a taxi, Pisit said.

The taxi driver refused to pick up the man, so he threw a bomb, which
rolled underneath the vehicle and exploded, according to The Nation.

The man later attempted to throw a bomb at police outside the nearby
Kasem Pitthaya School, but it slipped out of his hands and blew up.

The man lost both of his legs in the blast and was taken to the
Chulalongkorn Hospital, the newspaper said.

The suspected bomber, identified by police as Saerb Morabi, was
arrested.

Police arrested a second Iranian man, identified as Mohammad Hazaei, 42,
while he was waiting for a flight to Kuala Lumpur, The Nation reported.
The third suspect remained at large.

Police identified the four people who were injured in the blast as
Sinchai Boonsoongnern, Sangwal Horprasartthong, Juthatip Sajjadamrong
and Apichart Khamlue.

They said Sinchai was the taxi driver but did not release any further
details about the others.

Police later used a high-pressure water cannon to defuse another device
found inside the suspects' house, according to AFP.

Thai prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra urged the public "not to panic"
following the attacks.

"Let the police and intelligence agencies do their work, and the public
must not panic because the perpetrator was detained," she told
reporters.

The Israeli embassy is within four blocks of the explosions, and a
Jewish community center is also nearby, according to Sky News.

The attacks come a day after an Israeli diplomat's wife and three Indian
nationals were injured in a car bomb in New Delhi. The attack, along
with a separate car bomb plot against Israeli embassy staff in Georgia,
put Jewish diplomats around the world on high alert.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused Iran of being behind
the attacks, although Tehran immediately branded the accusation as
"sheer lies."

Last month, Thai police charged a Lebanese man, with alleged links to
terror group Hizbollah, of planning an attack in Bangkok. The US had
earlier issued a warning that foreign terrorists might be plotting
attacks in Bangkok.

REUTERS Cleaners sweep the road as police and forensic experts
investigate the site where a man blew himself up in Bangkok.

Dershowitz: Strike on Iran legally justified

Senior jurist Alan Dershowitz says Israeli strike against Iran is
'proactive self defense'
Itamar Eichner

Jurist Alan Dershowitz, who is considered one of the world's foremost
Legal experts, believes that an Israeli strike against Iran's nuclear
facilities is legally justified, Yedioth Ahronoth reported Monday.

Speaking before a Miami conference, Dershowitz said that Iran has taken
enough actions to justify an attack, and that military strike by Israel
is "proactive self defense."

Foreign coinage attacked by polish practices

Last year I stumbled on this piece of information. On it's website the polish mint claims it is minting certain coins issued by Austria, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, and australia. One can see this below on the mennica polska's website
http://www.mennica.com.pl/en/products-and-services/mint-products/coins-of-other-mints.html
However, when one searches for legislation passed in Austria, Kazakhstan, China, Canada, and australia to allow poland to do this no such legislation authorizing poland to mint the coinage of those countries. This is nothing but counterfeitting and a blatant attack on countries that poland sees as competition in it's foreign trade.

The anti-Iranian nature of cpac

Recently the cpac convention is taking very aggressive stances against Iranians and non-christians in America.
Recently john bolton has been advocating for an attack on Iran, claiming that Iran is behind the Arab uprisings and making nonsense claims of human rights violations, and claiming that Iran should be attacked directly or indirectly by israel and Saudi Arabia, and at some of the conferences this talk is advocated. This means that the conservatives are betraying the Iranian community the same way the liberals did in 1977, and that we can trust neither left or right on the political spectrum but must depend on ourselves.
This is demonstrated in the conferences in which they claim multiculturalism is an attack on America and which imposing christian values on others is discussed. The imposition of alien values on others is what has created major problems in the Iranian community worldwide, yet when we stand up for our identity we are attacked. Few recognize the fact that imposing christian values on others has led to violence worldwide since Sassanian times, and that not being christian is still used to discriminate against others, especially in America. Few realize still that the same bigoted attitudes are being increasingly held by other religious groups, be it jewish, muslim, etc. and that once any religious group, be it christian, muslim, whatthefuckever, obtains any degree of prominence they begin to impose their values on others. Let us remember that Zarathustra taught us not to impose our ways on others, and the behavior of these religious groups is nothing short of inflammatory.

Iran menace by american military forces in Gulf region

What watson is NOT reporting is that the USS Abraham Lincoln, of mission
accomplished notoriety, has major mechanical problems from it's being
rushed to completion so it could "participate" in gulf war one and has a
seriously compromised hull, as does the USS Carl Vinson and USS
Enterprise, the former of the bin Laden notoriety, the former from
operation preying mantis notoriety. To add more insult the USS bataan,
of katrina notoriety is being sent, and it should not go without saying
as to the flimsy hull construction of US Navy Destroyers, as well as
Cruisers and Frigates, and the only ship with a solid construction is
the USS Makin Island. Essentially, america is doing everything to
provoke a fight, and doing so by sending military units which iran can
take out. Few even realize that Iran has upped it's Atack Submarine
force to 20 and has upgraded all the weapons on all six FFG's and 10
Corvettes stationed in the Gulf.

US Warns Iran Not To Fight Back Against Israeli Attack

US warship remains in Strait Of Hormuz amidst simmering tensions

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars.com
Friday, February 3, 2012

The USS Abraham Lincoln warship has remained stationed in the Strait of
Hormuz despite an Iranian threat that no more aircraft carriers should
transit the sensitive oil choke point as tensions in the Persian Gulf
continue to simmer with Washington warning Tehran it will join an
Israeli attack if Iran dares to fight back in any way.

Stratfor’s latest naval update map shows that the USS Lincoln has not
moved from its position having transited the Strait almost two weeks
ago. Similarly, the USS Carl Vinson has also remained in its position,
suggesting US Naval officials are satisfied with the strategic position
of the two warships as Israel prepares to launch an attack on Iran in
which the US could quickly become embroiled.

Click for enlargement.

US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta “believes there is a strong
likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June,” reports
the Washington Post, adding that Panetta was likely told of the timing
when Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak postponed a a planned
U.S.-Israel military exercise that had been scheduled for May.

It now appears that the United States has almost finalized getting all
its ducks in a row in preparation for Israel’s assault on Iran’s nuclear
facilities. The Washington Post article makes it clear that the Obama
administration will stand by while Tel Aviv leads the attack. The US
will only become overtly involved if “Iran hits U.S. assets” or if
“Israel’s population centers were hit”.

In other words, if Iran attempts to fight back in any way, which is all
but inevitable, the US will join the attack. The Obama administration
will then think itself justified in telling the American people that the
US acted in self-defense, when in reality such a series of coordinated
events is absurdly obvious.

“I can’t say clearly enough that what the U.S. has signaled in Ignatius’ report is that if Iran is attacked, it may not strike back against its attacker,” writes Richard Silverstein. “If it does, the U.S. will rain down hellfire and damnation on it. This is frightening beyond measure. I’ve never known the U.S. to lay down such a principle which virtually assures our joining in a war against Iran. Israeli policymakers will be delighted to read these words.”

Both Washington and Tel Aviv are hoping for a repeat of Operation
Orchard, Israel’s attack on a Syrian nuclear reactor in 2007 that
prompted no significant retaliation from Assad’s regime. However, Iran’s
Air Force is second only to Israel’s in the region and Tehran’s surface
to air missile capability is far superior.

A third US aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise, is set to add even more
firepower in the 5th Fleet region after it completes a training exercise
in the Atlantic Ocean. British and French warships are also in place to
provide further back-up.

A d v e r t i s e m e n t

It has also been revealed that the nuclear submarine USS Annapolis and
the destroyer USS Momsen are likely to heading towards the Persian Gulf
in the build up to a possible attack on Iran.

The United States has sent both the Lincoln and the Vinson sailing
through the Strait in recent weeks despite Iran’s warning that any more
US warships transiting the narrow passageway would not be tolerated.
Tehran’s threat to close the Strait of Hormuz, an act that would cause
chaos on global oil markets, has been described as a “red line” by the
United States.

The US is currently conducting its biggest naval exercises in over a
decade. The Bold Alligator joint Navy and Marine Corps exercise, taking
place off the coast of Virginia and North Carolina, is clearly geared
towards simulating a naval conflict with Iranian forces despite official
claims to the contrary.

According to Israeli intelligence outfit Debka File, the United States
has placed 50,000 troops to be ready for “any contingency” by March,
with another 50,000 on the way, on two two strategic islands at the
southern exit of the Strait of Hormuz. In addition, 15,000 troops are
also on standby in Kuwait.

Tehran is set to conduct more naval exercises in the Strait later this
month. Experts estimate that around 1,000 mines would be required to
block the 55km wide passage and that Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have
already stockpiled 2,000 mines for that very purpose.

Iran defense news roundup

Lest anyone think that I have not been keeping up on news regarding Iran my assessment of the following incidents should prove otherwise.
Contrary to what people think Iran does posses the capability to close the Gulf, as people forget that Iran’s 14 Attack Submarines, 6 Missile Frigates, 10 Missile Corvettes are all armed with modern weapons, and Iran has ramped up it’s Naval production, not to mention these Naval assets can be used in a joint Missile/Air strike. While Iran has shot down the spy drone one must not forget that Itan had obtained stealth technology from the downed F-117 in Yugoslavia in 1999, the question is successfully incorporating this technology in it’s fighters and bombers, and to do it soon.
If the Aircraft Carrier the Iranian Navy successfully intercepted is the USS John C Stennis CVN-74 then this means that america’s navy’s best assets are vulnerable to attacks from Iran’s surface fleet. Notice also the Iranian ships “rescued” by America. That ship in the Arabian sea was Iranian owned but crewed by Baluchis, and it is interesting that the USS John C Stennis CVN-74 and the USS Kidd DDG-100 were responsible for rescuing that ship. Incidentally the previous USS Kidd DDG-993 was originally built for Iran as the IIS Kurush and is currently in service with the Taiwanese Navy as the ROCS Keelung. That ship rescued by the USCG was simply crewed by Iranian kids taking the boat out on a joyride when they got lost, not merchants on a trading journey.
Notice also the recent bombings carried out in Iran by israelis, people forget that the israelis are using moles inside Iran to carry out the operations. Notice the base that was bombed was under the command of Satrip Moghadam, who was related to Sepahbod Moghadam, the last SAVAK commander, and the Moghadams are of a prominent jewish background with ties to israel. The Iranian government would be best off putting their jewish population in prison to prevent further attacks.
Speaking of foreign menace if the UN were serious about going after Iran why hasn’t it done so after Iran’s police allowed the british embassy to be attacked? Or take the case of camp ashraf, now that the American military has pulled out of Iraq why hasn’t the rest of the World condemmed Iran for it’s handling of the mujhadeen e khlaq? Perhaps because they realize the Iranian community is right in going after those whackos and other threats to it’s sovereignity, no matter the regime.
Also notice the hekmati case and the girl who was stoned to death after her sentence was commuted. Bear in mind that this was done by the Iranian government in retaliation for the mistreatment of Iranians who were imprisoned in america, myself included. People in america need to look at their own actions before they judge Iran.

Facts about occupy provicence provaceturs posing as protesters

Below are facts about some of the occupy providence protesters who set me up.
The one who initially invited me to occupy providence was jared paul. He is a longtime provacetur who has worked with international answer and other organizations. He was the one responsible for calling the july 2007 protest which resulted in a confrontation with the north providence police, and was the one responsible for inciting street people against me over the story leslie yeransian did in the summer of 2008 where she portrayed street people as thieves. He is affiliated with critical mass, animal/earth liberation front, and other groups which provoke violence at protests under the guise of peace. He has also acted as a thug for unions, and he was the one responsible for having the screen actors guild blacklist leslie yeransian over abovementioned story.
The one who invited me to attend further occupy providence events was mike mccarthy. He was one of the original members of occupy wall street who incited the conflict with police on the Brooklyn bridge and helped organize occupy providence and link them up with the occupy wall street movement.
The one who invited the provaceturs to occupy providence to attack on me and then called the providence pigs is artemis moonhawk. She is a member of american andian movement and food not bombs. Additional provaceturs I spotted at occupy providence are martin lazzareschi, who has impersonated police and law enforcement, joyce katzbegs, and charles Feldman. These people say they want social justice but end up provoking violence and act only to enrich themselves.

Zendran Politiclal prisoner because of occupy providence

On Columbus day October 10, 2011 I was attacked by six provaceturs while at occupy providence who showed up shortly after 3PM. As I was fighting them off the providence police showed up and one of the occupy providence protesters, artemis moonhawk, pointed me out to them. I was then grabbed by 2 provedence pigs who refused to say if I was under arrest, and as I kept fighting them off 2 more showed up before I was handcuffed. I was held overnight and was told I was being charged with disorderly conduct. When I was arraigned I was told I was being charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and 2 counts of assault, one for beating up a providence cop and one for beating up an attacker. My bail was set at $50,000 and during my incarceration they refused to treat me for a gum infection, and as a result I was isolated from November 1 2011 onwards and my court date was pushed back to January 2012 because of my health. During my incarceration the two assault counts were dropped due to action by my lawyer because of my health problems. On January 2012 I was finaly arraigned before judge bucci, pled not guilty, and my bail was reduced to personal recognizance.

Project at Brown’s Watson Institute for International Studies, which
prepared the “Costs of War” study.

The Providence Journal / Sandor Bodo

PROVIDENCE — The war on terror continues; so does the cost and the
chronicling.

“You can’t make informed decisions without this information,” said Catherine Lutz of Brown University.

Lutz is co-director of the Eisenhower Project at Brown’s Watson
Institute for International Studies. The organization’s “Costs of War”
study has been reported worldwide with its website receiving 50,000 hits
from 169 countries since its June release. Visit costsofwar.org.

Hits rose in August during federal debt negotiations, Lutz said; and in
September during the 10th anniversary of 9/11. Now we’ve reached another
notable prompt.

Friday is the 10th anniversary of U.S. military operations in
Afghanistan. Thursday, “Costs of War” was presented in Washington to a
congressional panel on the war in Afghanistan.

The report’s cost calculations aren’t finished because the war isn’t
finished.

“We’re still following the numbers,” Lutz said.

The numbers, Lutz said, are “stunning”: 225,000 killed, and up to $4
trillion spent, factoring in future medical care for disabled veterans.

The 22 report researchers, will offer another report next fall, Lutz
said, offering bigger costs for the United States, and for its allies,
including Iraq and Afghanistan. Also, Lutz said, the follow-up will
chronicle the profits of war.

In 2008, Lutz said, the Pentagon paid military contractor Lockheed
Martin $30 billion.

“Lockheed received nearly more money from the government than the EPA, the Department of Labor and the Department of Transportation combined,” Lutz said.

Now, months after the release of “Costs of War,” Lutz reflects on the
response to it.

“Some people say, ‘Wow, those are huge numbers — the dollar figure, people killed and refugees. This means the war has been misbegotten.’ Some people say, ‘You can’t put a price on what the war has accomplished.’ People’s political view tends to inoculate them against the information changing their point of view.”

The “Costs of War” was reported in media in North America, South
America, Europe and Asia.

“The foreign reporters tend to ask questions about whether this has been a burden on us and if it is putting gasoline on the fire of America’s decline. The American reporters have been very interested in the veterans’ stories.”

Lutz is also interested in the veterans’ stories. She wonders how many
stories involve post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury
and suicide.

“The U.S. government should be more forthcoming with data,” Lutz said.

The number of disability claims from the war, Lutz said, exceeds
600,000. Much of the information veterans organizations have from the
government, Lutz said, is a result of Freedom of Information Act
requests.

“The craft of governance has become the craft of public relations and information control,” Lutz said. “That is not the way a democratic government should operate.”

A goal of the report, Lutz said, is to look at the complete cost of the
war.

“People have done the body counts for a variety of wars. But the financial, social and political costs, I’m not sure.”

Another goal of the report, Lutz said, is to look at war as a means to
tame terrorism.

“Were there other ways this could have been done with less loss of life? The historical record suggests there are.”

“Costs of War” cites a Rand study of 268 terrorist groups, 1968 to 2006. In 83 percent of cases, Lutz said, resolution was reached through political accommodation, intelligence and policing. Military might succeeded in 7 percent of cases.

The ultimate goal of “Costs of War,” Lutz said, is to learn the complete
costs of war: on soldiers and civilians, on budgets and taxpayers. And,
she said, we must remember what we learn.

“This says let’s not engage in a kind of historical amnesia.”

Russia consideres scrapping Project 941/"Typhoon" subs

What are the Russians thinking? This is as stupid as making the smaller
Aircraft Carriers and allowing France to manufacture Russian Amphibious
Assault Ships. They should at least keep one of these ships as a Museum
or in reserve, after all, these are the most powerful submarines ever
built as well as the ultimate doomsday ship.

The world's largest ballistic missile submarines of Project 941 Akula
(Shark), known as Typhoon, will be decommissioned before 2014 and used
for scrap metal, a source at Russia's Defense Ministry told the Izvestia
newspaper.

All three operating submarines of the project - Arkhangelsk, Severstal
and Dmitry Donskoi - will thus be destroyed. The Dmitry Donskoi cruiser
was previously used as the base for launching Russia's new Bulava
ballistic missile. The decommissioning of the missiles will cost the
Russian budget hundreds of millions of rubles, experts said.

Defense officials said that it became impossible to use the
above-mentioned submarines for intended purposes because of the
Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START-3), which Russia had signed with
the United States. Specialists of Sevmash Enterprise (the maker of the
subs) said that it could be possible to redesign the submarines to use
them as undersea gas tankers or all-season marine freight vessels.
However, defense ministry officials said that the cost for this work
would be unreasonably high.

It was Borei class submarines that ruined the career of the Typhoons,
defense officials said. Borei is a new class of submarines, which
Sevmash Enterprise currently builds. The new subs will be armed with
Bulava missiles.

The tests of Borei submarines ended successfully, which made the
maintenance of bulky and more expensive typhoon submarines pointless.
The crew of the Borei sub is 1.5 times smaller than that of the Typhoon.
Maintenance costs also differ in Borei's favor. To crown it all, it is
much more difficult to detect Borei submarines in the water, officials
said.

Officials representing the Defense Ministry also said that any work to
redesign the submarines would cost tens of billions of rubles.
Therefore, it would be more reasonable to spend this money on building
new vessels, they said.

Specialists of Sevmash Enterprise said, though, that the Typhoon subs
could be transformed into undersea tankers and freighters to transport
liquefied gas, oil and cargoes for polar ports. "This reconstruction may
not cost that much," representatives of the enterprise said.

Alexander Konovalov, the President of the Institute of Strategic
Estimations, shares a different point of view. According to him, the era
of Typhoons is gone for good.

"This is a gigantic thing. It is the largest sub in the world, and it is
very expensive in its exploitation. Moreover, there are no missiles for
these subs," he said.

The fate of gigantic submarines was determined by the START-3 Treaty,
which was signed by Russian and US presidents in the spring of 2010. The
treaty restricted the strategic arsenals of the two countries to 1,550
nuclear warheads.

Russia's Project 955 Borei and 667BDRM Dolphin submarines may carry over
1,100 nuclear blocks. The remaining part can be used by long-distance
aviation and Special Purpose Missile Troops.

One Typhoon class submarine is capable of carrying of only 120-200
nuclear warheads.

Russia's Defense Ministry has already decommissioned three of the six
Akula submarines before in accordance with the START-2 Treaty. Russia
decided that it was too expensive to maintain the battle capacity of
those submarines. Each cruiser required nearly 300 million rubles a
year.

The decommissioning process took place as follows. Spent nuclear fuel
was unloaded from the reactors. The equipment was dismantled afterwards.
The subs were then transferred to the dry dock. In the dock, specialists
cut out the reactor compartments from the subs. The compartments were
subsequently transferred to long-storage facilities in the Murmansk
region.

The utilization of one cruiser cost $10 million. Two million dollars of
the amount were assigned from the Russian budget. The remaining funds
were provided by the United States and Canada.

The Project 941 or Akula, ("Shark") class submarine (NATO reporting
name: Typhoon) is a type of nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine
deployed by the Soviet Navy in the 1980s. With a submerged displacement
of 48,000 tons, the Typhoons are the largest class of submarine ever
built, large enough to accommodate decent living facilities for the crew
when submerged for months on end.The source of the NATO reporting name
remains unclear, although it is often claimed to be related to the use
of the word "Typhoon" by Leonid Brezhnev in a 1974 speech while
describing a new type of nuclear ballistic missile submarine. Soviet
doctrine for these vessels was to have them launch SLBMs while submerged
under the arctic ice, avoiding the traversal of the GIUK gap to remain
safe from the enemy attack submarines and anti-submarine forces.
Technically Typhoons were also able to successfully deploy their
long-range nuclear missiles while moored at their dock.

The Borei class is a class of nuclear-powered ballistic missile
submarine produced and operated by the Russian Navy. The class is
intended to replace the Delta III, Delta IV and Typhoon classes now in
Russian Navy service. The class is named after Boreas, the North wind.
The sub is 160 meters long; its maximum displacement measures 24,000
tons. The submergence depth - up to 400 meters. The crew - 107 people.

Sevmash currently builds three Borei class submarines: Alexander Nevsky,
Vladimir Monomakh and Saint Nikolai. The construction of the first
submarine - Yuri Dolgoruky - began on November 2, 1996. The sub was
launched on February 12, 2008.

Alexander Nevsky was launched on December 6, 2010. The sub is to be
passed into service in 2012.

News roundup of "arab spring" news not being reported

While it is true that the situation in Syria and Libya is getting a lot of coverage, people forget other aspects of what is going on in the Arab World. That is not to minimize what is going on, as war could seem likely with Syria, as america could use the pretext of it's ambassador being attacked to go to war as it has done before, and I don't find it coincidental that an opposition council was created so soon after this incident. Also notice what is going in Libya, as Africa is not only harboring Qaddafi's family but assisting him, as they realize the true western backed nature of the rebels.
interesting enough it is not being reported that Tunisia acquired 6 german Albatross class Corvettes, which are the equal of the israeli saar class, right before the uprisings, and that Lurssen stopped the sale of the 3 Nakhoda Ragam class FFG's to Algeria around the time of the uprisings in that country. Those two pieces of military news not being reported show there is more going on than people just pissed off at their government.

Syria opposition launches national council
APBy ZEINA KARAM - Associated Press | AP – 1 hr 49 mins ago

BEIRUT (AP) — Syrian dissidents on Sunday formally established a broad-based national council designed to overthrow President Bashar Assad's regime, which they accused of pushing the country to the brink of civil war. Syrians took to the streets in celebration, singing and dancing.

In a restive northern area, meanwhile, gunmen killed the 21-year-old son of Syria's top Sunni Muslim cleric in an ambush, the state-run news agency reported. The cleric, Grand Mufti Ahmad Badreddine Hassoun, is considered a close supporter of Assad's regime and has echoed its claims that the unrest in Syria is the result of a foreign conspiracy.

The announcement of the Syrian National Council at a news conference in Istanbul appeared to be the most serious step yet to unify a deeply fragmented opposition. It follows five days of intense battles between the Syrian military and army defectors in the country's central region that raised the specter of all-out armed conflict.

Prominent Syrian opposition figure Bourhan Ghalioun, who read out the founding statement of the SNC at the news conference in Istanbul, accused the regime of fomenting sectarian strife in Syria to maintain its grip on power.

"I think that this (Assad) regime has completely lost the world's trust," he said. "The world is waiting for a united Syrian (opposition) that can provide the alternative to this regime, so that they can recognize it," he added.

"The council denounces the (regime's) policy of sectarian incitement ... which threatens national unity and is pushing the country to the brink of civil war," he said.

Syria's volatile sectarian divide means that an armed conflict could rapidly escalate in scale and brutality. The Assad regime is dominated by the Alawite minority, an offshoot of Shiite Islam, but the country is overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim.

The opposition movement has until now focused on peaceful demonstrations, although recently some protesters have been reported to have taken up arms to defend themselves against military attacks. Army defectors have also been fighting government troops.

Sunday's killing of the mufti's son took place in the Saraqeb region of the restive northern Idlib province as he left the university where he studied. He was shot in the chest and kidney and died later of his injuries. The news report gave no details on who might have been behind the killing.

In forming a national council, the Syrians are following in the footsteps of Libyan rebels, who formed a National Transitional Council during the uprising that ousted dictator Moammar Gadhafi. The Libyan council won international recognition and has now become the main governing body that runs the country.

Groups of Syrians poured into the streets in southern and central regions of the country to celebrate the announcement.

Although the mass demonstrations in Syria have shaken one of the most authoritarian regimes in the Middle East, the opposition has made no major gains in recent months. It holds no territory and still has no clear leadership.

The Syrian opposition consists of a variety of groups with differing ideologies, including Islamists and secularists, and there have been many meetings of dissidents claiming to represent Syria's popular uprising since it erupted seven months ago. But the new council is the broadest umbrella movement of revolutionary forces formed so far.

A group of Syrian activists had declared the preliminary formation of the council last month, but its structure and goals, and a founding statement signed by major opposition factions, had not been announced until this conference.

The SNC announced in Istanbul appears to have received the recognition of the largest Syrian opposition factions.

Members said it includes representatives from the Damascus Declaration grouping, a pro-democracy network based in the capital; the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic political party banned in the country; various Kurdish factions; and the grass-roots Local Coordination Committees, which have led protests across the country; as well as other independent and tribal figures.

Istanbul conference spokesman Ghalioun said one major benefit of the council to the Syrian opposition would be to provide a single body with which other countries could coordinate. He urged Syrians everywhere to support it and said it would be a vehicle for democratic change.

The council's statement said it categorically rejects any foreign intervention or military operations to bring down Assad's regime but called on the international community to "protect the Syrian people" from "the declared war and massacres being committed against them by the regime."

It said that protesters should continue to use "peaceful means" to topple the Syrian leader.

The organizers have not named a leader for the national council, but appeared to give a leading role to Ghalioun, a respected and popular opposition figure who is also a scholar of contemporary oriental studies at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Syria's uprising began in mid-March amid a wave of anti-government protests in the Arab world that have so far toppled autocrats in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. Assad has reacted with deadly force that the U.N. estimates has left some 2,700 people dead.

In other developments Sunday, a state-run Syrian newspaper warned U.S. Ambassador Robert Ford against meddling in Syrian affairs if he wants to avoid more "rotten egg" attacks in the future. The Al Baath newspaper, a mouthpiece of the Syrian regime, accused Ford of supporting armed anti-government groups in Syria and said he should expect further "unpleasant treatment" as long as his country meddles in Syrian affairs.

Supporters of Assad pelted Ford with eggs on Thursday as he visited Hassan Abdul-Azim, an opposition figure in Damascus.

The Obama administration summoned Syria's ambassador in Washington to hear formal U.S. condemnation of the assault.

The government said it retook control of the rebellious central town of Rastan Sunday after hunting down "armed terrorists" holed up inside. But the fighting there highlighted the increasingly militarized nature of an uprising started months ago by peaceful protesters.

Syrian activists say the fighting in Rastan had pitted the Syrian military against hundreds of army defectors who sided with anti-regime protesters. It was among the worst clashes in the uprising.

Gadhafi son denies Interpol allegations
APBy KIM GAMEL - Associated Press | AP – 2 hrs 1 min ago

TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — Moammar Gadhafi's son, al-Saadi, denied allegations of corruption and intimidation and called Interpol's decision to put him on the equivalent of its most-wanted list political, according to an email sent Sunday.

Al-Saadi Gadhafi is under house arrest in Libyan neighbor Niger, where he fled after Tripoli fell to revolutionary forces. His father and two of his brothers are in hiding, presumably inside Libya, as fighting between revolutionary forces and Gadhafi's loyalists continues on three fronts.

Al-Saadi "regrets the issue of a red notice by Interpol and strenuously denies the charges made against him," an email forwarded to The Associated Press said.

Interpol issued a red notice for al-Saadi last week based on accusations he misappropriated property and engaged in "armed intimidation" when he headed the Libyan Football Federation. He also was a special forces commander and is the subject of U.N. sanctions for commanding military units involved in repression of demonstrations.

The international police agency said the notice was issued in response to a request by the Libya's National Transitional Council, which has assumed leadership of the North African nation. Niger, which borders Libya on the south and long benefited from Gadhafi's largesse, has said it would study the question.

In the email, al-Saadi called the Interpol notice a "clear political decision to recognize the de jure authority of the National Transitional Council taken without appropriate regard to the current absence of a functioning, effective and fair system of justice in Libya."

It said al-Saadi "worked tirelessly to promote football in Libya, priding himself on the fact that Libya was formerly selected to host the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations." It added that Gadhafi's son "continues to call on all sides to seek a negotiated and peaceful resolution to the present conflict."

The South African Football Association has signed an agreement with Libya's post-Gadhafi football federation to host the 2013 African Cup of Nations, while Libya will stage the 2017 games.

The email was relayed to the AP on Sunday by defense attorney Nick Kaufman, who has been involved in a number of international criminal cases. Kaufman said he was contacted by an intermediary he identified as al-Saadi's press secretary, Jackie Frazier.

Al-Saadi fled to Niger in mid-September along with several other regime loyalists, including some generals.

Interpol also has issued red notices for Moammar Gadhafi and his son Seif al-Islam upon request by the Hague-based International Criminal Court. Both men have been charged with crimes against humanity.

Interpol had urged authorities in Niger and surrounding countries — and those with direct flights to Niger — to watch out for and arrest Gadhafi "with a view to returning him to Libya" for prosecution.

Interpol's red notices are the highest-level alerts they can issue to their member countries. The notices do not force countries to turn over suspects but strongly urge them to, and countries who ignore such notices can come under pressure from the international community.

Gadhafi's eight adult children have played influential roles in Libya, from commanding an elite military unit to controlling the oil sector. Al-Saadi, 38, headed the Libyan Football Federation, and at one point played in Italy's professional league but spent most of his time on the bench.

Another Gadhafi son is with his daughter Aisha and wife in neighboring Algeria — along with other family members — while Khamis Gadhafi, who led the Khamis Brigade that fought in the west, was reportedly killed in battle, although that was never confirmed.

Libya's new rulers have gained control of most of the country, but revolutionary forces still face fierce resistance in Gadhafi's hometown of Sirte, Bani Walid and pockets in the southern desert. NATO recent extended its mission, although the top U.S. commander for Africa said Saturday that the military mission is largely complete.

Army Gen. Carter Ham, head of U.S. Africa Command said that the National Transitional Council and its forces should be in "reasonable control" of population centers before the end of the NATO mission, dubbed Unified Protector. And he said they are close to that now.

Tunisian Navy boosts its capabilities, MIDDLE EAST/AFRICA

The Tunisian Navy is set to augment its capabilities with the acquisition of a further four surplus German Navy Albatros-class (Type 143B) missile fast attack craft, under a EUR33 million (USD40.3 million) agreement.

An initial two Type 143Bs, S-65 Sperber and S-66 Greif were delivered to the Tunisian Navy in June. The second batch, consisting of S-63 Geier and S-68 Seeadler, is currently on its way to Tunis and will be officially handed over to the navy on 29 September. The last two vessels, S-69 Habicht and S-70 Kormoran, are scheduled to enter Tunisian Navy service on 13 December.

Like car owners, governments insist that somebody take old equipment off their hands before buying new armaments. Complicated to set up, such deals nonetheless help suppliers to win contracts. The three Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) that Germany’s Lurssen yard is about to deliver to the Royal Brunei Navy were sold in return for the Germans helping Brunei get rid of three slightly older ships. Brunei initially contracted Britain’s GEC-Marconi in 1998 to deliver three OPVs. Bought out by BAE Systems Surface Fleet Solutions, GEC delivered the Nakhoda Ragam in 2003 and the Bendahara Sakam and Jerambak in 2004. The three patrol boats were equipped with VL Seawolf and MM40 Exocet Block 2 missiles made by MBDA. But Brunei refused to take delivery of the vessels on the grounds they didn’t correspond to specifications that had been negotiated with the British group. Lurssen then stepped in to offer to take them off Brunei’s hands and re-sell them in return for a contract with Brunei for a similar number of ships. Through its affiliate Global Naval Systems, Lurssen offered the British-built patrol vessels to several Gulf countries but didn’t find buyers. Finally, it got Algeria to acquire them last year. The proceeds from the sale of GEC’s ships to Algeria will be partly deducted from the price of the three new vessels for Brunei.
